Getting a guy for 4 or 5 million isn’t a ‘good value’ if they suck. JL has made these kinds of deals before, lets not assume this is something new or special or that somehow this time he got the right guys.

@donkey of course you’re gonna give BA all the credit for signing all these 1 year prove it deals… but the rest of the bad deals are gonna b on JLs shoulders… get off your high horse and give credit where’s due… the man is doing a great job this year assembling some nice pieces, the least you can do is give him some credit for it.. stop all the negative crap cuz he’s gonna be our GM for a bit longer..

Okay. I’ll give Licht the credit for signing all these 1-year deals. Feel better?

    Wonder what’s changed?

Arians being in the building or the fact that Licht really has no choice because he’s buried this team in shit contracts and no more cap space.

But, my apologies for interrupting your public fellatio of a GM who has a 27-53 record. For reference sake, Dom was 28-52.

The 49ers are doing something similar.

All those big name signings are actually a series of 1 year deals giving the Niners to cut these guys with minimal dead cap space.

Thats three low level players who aren’t guaranteed to make the team.  There’s nothing wrong with giving some familiar guys a chance to stick on an NFL roster for another year.  These guys may just have been training camp fodder for other teams, and they may be for this one too.

By the way, @morgan, is this supposed to be Raymond James Stadium? They don’t have a section 401 do they?

Sometimes he gets confused with all the NFL message boards he trolls. It appears he has used a photo from the 49ers stadium.

Every team in the league, every year, is in win now mode. It’s why the NFL is the best professional sports league in the world.
