Bucs lower ticket prices for season pass holders
Posted by Josh Alper on January 24, 2019, 11:07 AM EST

The Buccaneers have seen fewer and fewer people in the stands for their games at Raymond James Stadium and there’s little doubt that the team’s long playoff drought has something to do with that.
They hope that hiring Bruce Arians as head coach and making other moves will push the team in the right direction, but they are also making other moves that could spur more people to come out to games while they see if that works out. Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports that the team sent renewal offers to season pass holders with 2019 ticket prices that are lower than they were last year.
Prices have dropped for all seats in the upper deck of the stadium and for 11 percent of the seats in the lower bowl. The rest of the prices will remain flat.
“We recognize and appreciate the passion and loyalty of our season pass members who have supported the Buccaneers throughout the years,’’ Bucs COO Brian Ford said to pass holders. “For the second year in a row, there will be no price increase for our season pass members ensuring that we remain one of the most affordably priced tickets in the NFL. We look forward continuing to provide the best in class customer service and overall game experience that our season pass members have come to expect.”
The Buccaneers saw their attendance drop for the third straight year and hit the lowest level since 2010 during the 2018 season.

That’s a good question. Honestly it is. I was a STH for 9 yrs since moving here and can’t recall if I was charged for the pass as a entire season or each ticket individually x 10 games.

The website isn’t listing 2019 tickets yet.  But I always knew that when people said the Glazers shit all over the Bucs fans and didn’t care about them that ticket prices are dirt cheap in TB compared to many other cities. Spoke with STH Bears and Pats and their prices for similar seats that I had were outrageous in my opinion. Plus I believe they were paying some sort seat deposit fee on top of the tickets.

You’ll see the tickets are lump sum fee and not per game.  Asterisk on bottom of the pdf file says 9 games at RayJay (7+2).  Are they pulling a fast one?  Reduce the price for the season but reduce the number of games. Not much of a discount from 2018 is it?

As one STH posted in the comments section of the article…

…Let’s be real … my seats were $135.00 per game for 10 games which is $1350.00 per seat … now take off $135.00 for losing one game this season leaves $1215.00. They are selling me my tickets at $1197.00 per ticket so a whopping $18.00 or $2.00 savings per game. Before you praise a team providing a substandard product for giving a discount of $2.00 or 1.46%. Wow, what generosity!!

They should have a free viewing party at RJ on Europe game day for season ticket holders. Free parking and free seating on the field and have some entertainer(s), food trucks etc.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they do something for club members at least. Would be good to rewards those saps who shell out $$$$ to see them play.

      Saps?

Some of us choose to not be cheap douchebags like yourself.

Guess that’s the difference between fans and “spectators”.

My section went from 1750 to 1233 which is much more than a one game cut. Now I’m tempted to upgrade to better seats with these prices.

yes, that’s a significant cut in price. …wouldn’t be surprised to see them brought back up next season w/ 10-games.
