I think the kid did what he could do at Vandy . Everyone doesn’t have the luxury to run behind a Georgia and LSU line. He is a back that had to work for his yards. Not sure why he got caught from behind after breaking one though .

I probably would have gone Dobbins in rd 2 and then picked bpa on D or best pass rusher available in rd 3.

I don’t need to. I reviewed his tape. I looked into his advanced metrics.

Someone said that PFF valued him? They had him as their 148th prospect (and they aren’t including value in that ranking). They had him as a 5th round pick MINIMUM.

This is your classic WHAT IN THE MOTHER EFF ARE YOU DOING pick by this regime. I don’t understand this.

This is MJ Stewart all over again.

And so what? Are you that delusional and self-important you think your little scouting review matters? What a joke. You don’t know better than nfl scouts, otherwise you wouldn’t be pontificating on a message board for NO PAY. Sounds like you wasted a lot of time, loser

Bucs third-rounder Ke’Shawn Vaughn, running back from Vanderbilt, had eight touchdowns of 60-plus yards in the last two seasons, most of any player in FBS …

Maurice Jones Drew had him as the 17th ranked RB. 17th!

Licht is ridiculously bad at evaluating RBs. That and kickers.

Cmon man. Winfield better be worth it because it cost them a top 5 RB.

Only SEC teams he was actually decent against were MU and Arkansas. The rest was against directional Tennessee schools and those types.

The Bucs’ west coast scout has been notoriously bad at scouting RB’s and the Bucs have gotten all their RB draft picks from the west coast under the Licht regime except Sims his first draft (Barber was undrafted). I’m just thankful they took a different path for a change.

I didn’t realize Vaughn would be a polarizing pick. Maybe in terms of draft value because some had a 2nd/3rd round game. But for the most part most had him pegged as a 4th/5th rounder.

But the fact people feels strongly he is not a good back is surprising. Time will tell I guess!

I missed the day 2 draft b/c busy all day and evening.

So I looked up who was in front of us in the third round:

      66. RB Gibson, Memphis (Redskins)
      68. OG Lewis, LSU (Seahawks)
      71. DT Maddbuike, Texas A&M (Ravens)
      72. OT Josh Jones, Houston (Cardinals)
      74. OLB Baun, Wisconsin (Saints)
      76. RB Vaughn, Vanderbilt (Bucs)

If we didn’t uselessly thrown away that 117th (4th round pick), then we could have traded up for any of those players. Gibson would have been the preferred choice of RB/WR.

Who else was available beneath us

      83. C Cushenberry, LSU (Broncos)
      85. RB Moss, Utah (Bills)
      96. OT Niang, TCU (Chiefs)… could move to OG
      99. OT Peart, UConn (Giants)

So… because Gibson didn’t drop and we don’t own a fourth round pick, we were forced to reach for an RB than grab an OL or take a chance on Moss.

Remember, the reason why we’re drafting an RB is because Licht screwed up in 2018 with 2nd round pick RB Ronald Jones. (We should have traded up using the ronald jones pick and the two picks used to trade up for Cappa for a talented OG in Will Hernandez or Braden Smith. Both started well in their rookie season.)

Crazy. That 117th (4th round) pick does matter as it forced Licht’s hands to pick by “Need” rather than “BPA + need”.
