I wouldn't be too concerned yet, as you'll also notice Jennings isn't listed. Granted, he hasn't signed his contract yet, but I think there will be some wiggle room in that list, at least in the beginning.

I wasn’t really worried, it’s probable that this list was put together by an intern instead of the coaching staff probably because the NFL requires one. However, there are some interesting talking points. No backup listed behind Mankins at LG, Gholston listed before McDaniel (but that might be a 2a/2b kind of thing). While I didn't post special teams, Glennon is listed as the 1st team holder on place kicks and there currently is no PR/KR listed.

Wonder how long we keep 3 QBs on the roster. Seems kinda thin at WR, how long is Bell expected to be out?

With adding Jennings, that's 38% over last year and we turned over about the same roster spots. One thing is for sure, this year, EVERYBODY is susceptible to getting cut (except for the McCoys, Davids, etc)

Rusty, I think some of that is just knowing the roster better and getting a better grasp of what your goals really are. I think L&L thought the roster was better last season than it really was and then they compounded that mistake by bringing in a few high priced free agents that didn't produce. I think the thing that I find encouraging (at least at this point in time) is that they learned from and cut their mistakes rather than trying to fit square pegs into round holes. Based upon the roster I see now, and admittedly I'm not a football coach, I see more players that fit what I see is both the philosophy and design of the offense and defense I think this team is trying to run. I'll go out on a limb and say we'll see less turnover next season unless this season is such a disaster that they fire the coaching staff and front office and start again. But realistically, I see a better result this season even if it's only a 3-4 game improvement (but I think 4-5 is more likely). JMO.

nitey, agree with your assessment 100%. Next year there are 4 major holes to plug, everyone knows that we need 2 edge rushing studs and two stud Olinemen. From there it's fine tuning each year, so hopefully we are on the right path and yes I see more wins this year but since we are not winning the Super Bowl in 2015, I want to see vast improvement every game, with some heart breaking last minute losses and come from behind wins all mixed in but no more friggin blow outs.

Humphries I presume is the PR specialist. But that leaves KR duties wide open.  I would be surprised if they hand the KR duties to Rainey/James combo back there.  However, with the rule changes to kick offs I can see Lovie conceding that playing the game of musical chairs with kick returns is futile.Still, I suspect Lovie wants a dynamic kick return back there to make teams pay when a kickoff can be potentially returned.

Dotson was on the depth chart because he was on the roster. I don’t think he was formally removed from the roster (from the NFL’s point of view) until this morning.

Exactly. The ONLY reason ANY NFL team even publishes one for the public is the NFL mandates it…

Kush is now listed as the backup to MankinsKwon Alexander is indeed the slated starter at MIKEK. Brown is the primary backup to J. Smith.  Gholston is the primary backup to G. Johnson.  Fatinkun is the #5 DEJennings is the backup to Verner.  Jenkins is the backup to Banks with Sterling as the #5 CB.  I presume Sterling is the NCB but it could be Jennings?Adam Humphries is the starting punt and kick returner. Rainey is the backup at both spots.Schum is now the primary holder.  Glennon is secondary holder.

so the guy spent the majority of the preseason at DT and now listed as DE again?  i dont put much stock into it, but seems odd.

Gholston is a pass rushing specialist when he kicks inside.  True, Melton will see some time at DE but overall this is how I see the depth chart.

Though there will be disagreement, I thought Gilkey was our best reserve guard.  As a center he is not a help, but he played pretty good at guard during the pre-season.It seems like the overall Bucs OL is weaker without Gilkey

I'm actually thrilled about it, honestly. Long term it's the best thing for this team.Short term, this season, week 1, having them all start their first game and season together is going to be a train wreck. But we have no luxury of depth on this roster with the horrible track record of drafts and free agency. It's baptism by fire for all 3 of them.
