      DeSean Jackson expresses interest in playing for Rams

      DeSean Jackson recently said “we’ll see” when asked about a return to Tampa Bay.
      New coach Bruce Arians wants to keep Jackson, but if things don’t work out with the Bucs, the receiver wouldn’t mind playing for the Rams.
      “Worst-case scenario, if anything, I would like to end up in LA being a Ram,” Jackson told the Simms & Lefkoe show. “Sean McVay, you know we’ve got some connections from when I was in D.C. But we’ll see how it plays out. I’ve got another year in Tampa. We’ll see how it plays out.”
      Jackson requested a trade out of Tampa last season. He remains under contract for 2019 with a $10 million salary, so the decision is the Bucs’, not his. But the team would get all that cap space back if they move on from Jackson.

      If we try to force a disgruntled veteran that doesn’t want to be here to play for us next year then we will end up just as big of a shit show as we were this year. He needs to be traded or cut, can’t bring this garbage back into the locker room.

      can’t imagine the Rams have the finances to add his high priced contract to their line up….they already pay a ton to their stars and will have more to pay after their rookie contracts are up —-wishful thinking DJAX…..ship his ass to Cleveland.

      Suh and Fowler helped get the Rams to the dance.

      If it is chance to keep those two, I doubt they would choose Jackson.
      Especially with his rep nowadays.

      Fowler is a free agent so it would take big bucks to keep him.

      I don’t see anyone trading anything for him so he may not be that expensive next year. He’s burning bridges and limiting his FA options by running his mouth. Ram could end up getting him for peanuts like the Patriots always seem to do.

      The Rams top 4 WRs are all under contract for 2019. Cooks makes $15mil, Woods makes $6mil and Kupp and Reynolds are under rookie deals. There’s no need for Desean Jackson and his $10mil salary in LA nor his attitude.

      He will be 33 at the end of this upcoming season, so he will enter free agency with not a lot left in the tank. I agree he wont be getting a mega deal when he hits FA.

      Interesting. DeSean Jackson was actually one of the players the Rams called for a reference on Sean McVay in January 2017. Jackson gave McVay a glowing recommendation.

      That’s interesting. I kind of assumed with his current attitude that money wasn’t a very big factor at this point in his career. I don’t think he stands a chance of making as much as we owe him next season. You’d think if money were a factor he’d have played nice here and gotten along.

      Jackson has been a diva, but he wasnt a diva earlier in the year when Fitz was hitting him in stride for TDs every week. It wasnt until later when he wasnt getting the ball that he was a diva. I want him gone but its still kind of crappy that we have to get rid of our deep threat because he cant get on the same page with his QB.

      That could very well be true, but its not for character reasons. I know the guy a little bit, and he is nothing like some people portray him here.
      The Rams are pretty set at WR, so that could be a legit reason they have no interest. Along with DeSeans 10mil salary in 2019, could be another reason.
