You either have a franchise QB and pay him, or you don’t and you suck forever until you get one. Winston will get whatever he wants when his day comes and there is no such thing as overpaying a franchise QB.

This is causing Jameis’ pay day to get higher and the Bucs will have to pay him. What’s the alternative? I am happy for these guys and Go Bucs!

LOL… people ripped Stafford for years saying he was only putting up numbers because he had Calvin Johnson. Since Johnson’s retirement, there’s a strong argument in favor of Stafford being better without him. Now he’s still not worth the paycheck? Yeah, ok.

    3 Playoff appearances
    1 5,000 yard season
    1 40+ TD passes
4,000+ yards in 6 consecutive seasons

Not bad considering he’s not been on good teams. I know I’d be happy if Jameis could emulate Staffords 3rd season. Hell fans here would build a statue of him if he did what Stafford did in year 3

As long as Rodgers and Brady are getting less, than yes, he isn’t worth it.

Highly paid yes, highest paid no way. This is just driving the price up for the next guy.

I think he deserves it. Great QB, and he will only be the highest paid, until some other great QB is up for resigning with his team.
I feel for the guy, wasting away with that train wreck organization.

He is not Tom Brady. He isn’t Ben. He isn’t Rodgers.

I’d honestly rather have Jameis because he wins with this weird “chutzpah”. When is he last time you have seen a “rah-rah” pro QB that older vets are willing to succumb to? Jameis will win a Super Bowl.

With this team or another. But as far as I can see, they are giving him everything sans pass protection, and he pressure is on him to win.

Thing is? He thrives in this stuff. He plays well when hope is gone. I love Jameis. Damn good player. Hope he improves his accuracy. Darts man. Darts.

Yet Stafford does it without the weapons Jameis has. He even improved after losing Megatron.

    Weapons? He had Megatron forever.

Jameis had a rook Evans, and a cruddy offensive line to protect him, a drug addled Dougernaut, and Cam Brate and Adam Hump.

Stafford isn’t nearly as inspiring as Winston is. Winston has made tons of memorable plays. How many has Stafford made? One I can recall.
