Often the first sign is difficulty in bringing up the right word.
You know the word you want to use, but it just doesn’t come up right away.
You can notice that Nancy Pelosi is starting to grasp for the right word.
Next you lose your train of thought in mid sentence.
You know what you are going to say when you start the sentence, but other thoughts flood into your mind and mid-way through the sentence, the other thoughts interfere with your ability to complete your original thought.
You can see this starting to manifest in Joe Bidden.

I tried to find this story on CNN, NBC, ABC, and CBS with a Google search of “Biden virus killed 120 million <insert MSM here>” search, and there weren’t any results. I found that hard to believe, being as those guys play this thing right down the middle. So I went to CNN and MSNBC sites and searched “Biden 120 million”, and still got nada. There have to stories from these sites, but they sure as hell aren’t easy to find. No idea how and why these places got hung with the Fake News label.

My grandmother went through it (along with Alzheimers) and it was just a brutal period. She passed a few years ago, but she was “gone” well before that. The “I can’t complete my thought” is not the same as “I don’t know the differnce between a country and a city” like when Trump said Belgium is a beautiful city.
Some other Trump gems include….. according to google – “Morocco is basically Mexico” “Oakland is the same as San Francisco” and “Paris is in Germany”.
Some of those could have even been twisted jokes but I’m sure they’re all included in that lie count Virgil is keeping.
First and foremost, it’s a good thing you’re not being a prick about Biden’s condition. Dementia (and Alzheimers for that matter) are nothing to laugh about. And, I’ll give you credit for making multiple posts backing up that you don’t find it humorous to make fun of someone going through it.
Agree with most of your post, aside from you essentially chalking up Trump’s low-IQ gaffes as “twisted jokes”, as you and I both know that it isn’t the case. As I said, if Trump isn’t starting to mentally slip, then he’s simply showing off to the world how incredibly unintelligent he is…which is no surprise to anyone.
Again, this all leads back to my main point.
We’re the United States of America. The greatest country on Earth.
And, this is the hand we’re dealt. This is “the best” our nation has to offer in terms of our leader.
Our choices:
An established career politician, who’s flip-flopped on countless issues/topics, and who most likely is suffering from a mental illness that will inevitably end up rendering him completely incompetent and unable to serve more than a year into his first term. Highly doubtful that he’ll be able to actually serve his post, rendering him to be nothing more than a puppet. And, to add icing on the cake, he is clearly lacking self-awareness of his actions at times and is displaying pedo-like borderline creepy behavior.
Behind Door #2, you have a narcissistic, thin-skinned bigot/racist/xenophobe con-artist who has shown over 4 years he’s completely in over his head. From the constant lying, deflecting, and petulant child-like behavior…to the ongoing displays of utter incompetence and stupidity, complete lack of basic political, geographical, foreign policy, and legal knowledge.
I could go on and on about these two dolts.
But, here we are. This is the best our great country has to offer.
This is what people should be protesting about. This is what people should be marching over. This is what should be campaigned on social media and other platforms.

One (of several) reasons we have these two flawed candidates is because hyper political morons – the type that would argue about which candidate is more demented – have long been the people most motivated to vote, especially because there are so many people (like DH, I think) who UNDERSTANDABLY feel that the system doesn’t represent them or that the options suck or that both parties are broken.
Oddly, if you remove the “ur versus them” nationalism the Trump candidacy could’ve been a repair, if he was a uniting, reforming outsider. In reality he has set the next outsider back so far we may never have an outsider.
