https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2014/05/19/cumulative-effect-hitting-the-qb/Rather unshockingly as QBs get hit/sacked more their accuracy declines and INT rate goes up.  The most telling stat is the way rookie QB accuracy goes totally to crap as the hits and sacks mount which might provide some explainer for Glennon's second half issues.

As bad as our OL was last year, Im fairly shocked Glennon wasnt broken in half by year end.

While the Bucs offensive line certainly isn't good and the team was correct to make some major changes, they haven't been that bad, especially at pass blocking. Recall they gave up 21 more sacks in 2013 than 2012. PFF rated them the #21 pass blocking line. Playoff teams Seattle, Indianapolis, San Diego, and New England ranked worse. Pass rushers get paid, too. They're going to hit you sometimes. What you have to do is move around to avoid rushers, change plays to exploit aggressiveness, and really take advantage of the plays where you don't get hit.

Freeman never got sacked much. He could only read one route at a time so he’d just chuck it up when he felt pressured. Glennon held the ball rather than blindly throw into space.

And that gave us the #32 offense.

That alone gave us the #32 offense? Not the fact that we lost 2 or our top 3 play makers around Glennon (Martin and Williams), had a garbage offensive line, and had a horrible scheme?I can understand those that want to see more from Glennon, as he was a rookie and was not perfect last year. However, blaming him completely or saying that his not taking enough risk was the reason we finished last in offense is ignorant. A lot of factors went into our horrible season last year and Glennon actually played pretty damn well considering he was a rookie thrown into the fire with absolute garbage to work with.If he wins the job at some point I think you will see a drastic improvement in his #'s considering he'll be playing with V Jax, Evans, Doug, Sims, Sefarian-Jenkins and an improved O line and not trying to throw to Owuso and Sky Dawson.

There are a lot of reasons the Bucs had the #32 offense. My initial point was that the Bucs offensive line wasn't that bad at pass blocking and any QB has to do his own work to avoid getting sacked and has to make big plays when he doesn't get sacked to make up for the lost plays where he gets knocked down. According to NFL.com, the Bucs actually gave up the 13th fewest QB hits with 75 but then the 7th most sacks with 47. The worst team in the NFL gave up 121 hits with 49 sacks and the second worst gave up 113 hits with 42 sacks, 5 fewer the the Bucs. There's no getting around that Glennon got sacked at an extremely high rate for how many times he got hit.

Amongst other things gave us the 32nd offense. Certainly Glennon was one factor, certainly not the only factor. Otherwise Lovie wouldn't have crowned his ass in 2-3 years.

I'm not the one who disparaged the #9 total offense from 2012.

L’n’L dumped the O-line as quickly as they could and identified them as under-performing their salaries…  They sucked.

Did they take hurries into account as well?
