Niners Nation ?@NinersNation  28mOver at @arrowheadpride: apparently E. Sanders might be looking for Golden Tate money. Some health concerns in feet http://sbn.to/OrO08G Good move by letting him leave. $31Mil for a #2 or #3 WR is waaaay too much IMO.

Carolina would have to trade most of its picks to move up to get Watkins.

Lol wow. Let a team like the Raiders overpay for him. Neither Tate or Sanders are worth anywhere near that amount of money. There’s a reason the Lions are the team that gave Tate that much…

His asking price will come down. Nothing wrong with him shooting for the stars.

That’s insane. I keep saying this – he’s not better than Mike Williams and while he’s a speed receiver he was terrible at catching deep balls last year. A lot of people like him because of his name, but if he’s coming in it’s to compete for a spot – thus backup money. At this point, we need to find value signings. If you want a Steeler, I'd rather Cotchery as he'd play a position of need.

His asking price will come down. Nothing wrong with him shooting for the stars.

No, other than he'll likely now make less money overall as his contract value drops (more or less) every day he doesn't sign.

Too much money for Sanders: "Chiefs trying to wrap up a 3-year deal with Emmanuel Sanders this morning. If sides can get a deal contract guarantees could be near $10M." - Chiefs Insider

Makes sense they would give him what he wants.  They are all in, with only another year or 2 with Peyton at QB.

Well payback is a b*tch. Wouldn’t be surprised if all teams stop dealing with the agent after this, as the article states, there is an unwritten code that agents work with and this violates it.BTW, here's a PFT link to there take: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/03/16/report-multiple-teams-miffed-over-emmanuel-sanders-negotiations/

LOL @ NFL execs.  What a bunch of whinny bitches.  Was there anyone other then Sproles’ wife up in arms that an NFL exec told a player he was going to be cut, left that hanging for like over a week, then went back on that word and shopped him when he realized he could probably get a pick?  Get a signature on a piece a paper and you got a deal.  You can fax shit right?  Deal shopping goes on with pretty much every free agent player who doesn’t get a ridiculous deal from some team on their first visit.  “But he said we were friends”.  WAAAAAAAAAAAAH.  Good lord these people would not last 15 minutes in the real business world.

LMAO.  Yeah, if there's one attribute that NFL front offices are know for, it's their self control.  Players would have to stop dealing with him, not teams.  Teams will always sign the players they feel play football the best.  If this dude gets the rep of doing whatever (that won't get his contracts invalidated) to get his guys the most money, you can bet that will only increase his business.  I bet he has his feet up on his desk smiling over this positive publicity.

What business do you work in? Agreements in principle are part and parcel of the real world and violating them does have repercussions. Yes you shop vendors and contractors and agents against each other and compare offers but there is a point where that stops and deals are done.

Yes, when pen hits paper and deals are official.  Especially when you don't know the people you are dealing with.  Even more so if they actually have a negative reputation.  Go to your boss and say:  "But sir he TOLD me we had a deal.".  Then hit up twitter and facebook and call the local papers to trash the company that spurned you for another.  Again, the NFL is run by a bunch of little children who require EVERYTHING to be set up in their favor in order to function in an adult fashion.

If I’m dealing with a vendor, and I do, and we agree that they are gonna provide a service for $X on a conference call or WebEx I tell my boss it is a done deal. If they back out, it is their scalps he wants not mine. I know because in about 7 years we’ve had one vendor back out because they thought their salesman grossly discounted something after the agreement in principle. They backed out based on the “no pen to paper” rule you have and they were toast ever doing business with us and frankly once we let the world know how they dealt they were done and gone inside of 18 months. Works the same way when we deal with contractors we hire. We agree on a price point with their agent. The deal is done at that point short of something (immigration or background check) coming up negative. We’ve had numerous scenarios where we had another agent come back and tell us that a guy was willing to take less but we don’t back out of deals. It is bad for relationships and bad for business.

I like Moore and think a guy with short and intermediate skills would be a boost but I'm guess he lacks the speed element we appear to be looking for.
