The Justice Department and FBI are investigating whether high-profile right-wing figures — including Roger Stone and Alex Jones — may have played a role in the Jan. 6 Capitol breach. https://t.co/9m9V3uHGyF
You have to be a fool to not understand that January 6th was planned and orchestrated by Trump, not some kind of accident due to overenthusiastic fans. That’s why I wish they would have delayed the impeachment until the full investigation could be completed. But McConnell says to use the justice system, so lets use it. This was a Trump Production.
Trump—> pardoned Stone —-> Proud Boys, Oathkeepers —-> Insurrection
Jan. 5 speech, Stone characterized the next day’s events as “an epic struggle for the future of this country between dark and light . . . the godly and the godless . . . good and evil.”
Trump—-> pardoned Flynn —-> QAnon —–> Insurrection
Flynn promoted the so-called “Jericho March,”… Flynn told his supporters that they would “need to be fearless as Americans.” Speaking at a Dec. 12 rally in Washington to promote the Trump effort to overturn the election, Flynn told supporters they had reached a “crucible moment” and “there has to be sacrifice.” “We’re in a battle … for the heart and soul of the country,” Flynn said. “We will win.”
Trump —–> Jones —-> Infowars —–> Insurrection
A day before the insurrection, Jones urged a pro-Trump crowd at Freedom Plaza in downtown Washington “to resist the globalists” with his refrain, “I don’t know how all this is all going to end, but if they want to fight, they better believe they’ve got one!” In a Jan. 6 post from near the same spot, he declared “1776” — a term co-opted by Trump fans urging a kind of second revolution against the government. “We’re under attack, and we need to understand this is 21st-century warfare and get on a war-footing,” Jones said.
Trump——Alexander —-> Stop the Steal —–> Insurrection
Alexander, in a since-deleted video on Periscope weeks before the Jan. 6 rally, said he and three hard-line Republican Trump supporters “schemed up of putting maximum pressure on Congress while they were voting”
Trump —–> Bannon —–> Advisor —> Insurrection
Bannon began promoting the upcoming DC protests of January 6. “l’ll tell you this,” Bannon said the day before the riot. “It’s not going to happen like you think it’s going to happen. OK, it’s going to be quite extraordinarily different. And all I can say is, strap in … You have made this happen and tomorrow it’s game day. So strap in. Let’s get ready.”
Trump ——> Guliani ——> Personal Lawyer —–> Insurrection Trial by combat!
Fire, its obvious that Trump directed this to happen. You don’t listen to the church choir and say “I wonder if they practiced this.” Of course they practiced. That’s why they were in harmony. Well all these MAGA types were all singing in harmony. That doesn’t happen by coincidence. There has to have been a choir director.
But, as you said, you need proof for a criminal case. You need some actual recording or e-mail showing that Trump knew what these underlings were up to and either commanded it or at least approved of it. There may not be any record. Plausible deniability. Trump isn’t stupid.
There may or may not be proof that would stand up in court, but as for anyone with objectivity and common sense there should be no doubt. I don’t think he had a clear idea of what the end result was going to be, but he knew he was going to set off a bomb and just see what things look like when the dust settles.
“ n early 2018, ahead of an appearance at the annual Republican Dorchester Conference in Salem, Oregon, Roger Stone sought out the Proud Boys to act as his “security” for the event; photos posted online showed Stone drinking with several Proud Boys.
In February 2018, the Proud Boys posted a video on Facebook which they described as Stone undergoing a “low-level initiation” into the group. As part of the initiation, Stone says “Hi, I’m Roger Stone. I’m a Western chauvinist. I refuse to apologize for creating the modern world”, making him a “first-degree” member, which Kutner characterizes as being a “sympathizer”. Stone denies being a member of the group. In July 2020, Facebook announced it had shut down the accounts and pages linked to Stone and Proud Boys. This network of over 100 Facebook and Instagram accounts spent more than $300,000 on ads to promote their posts and included false personas.
In late January 2019, when Stone was arrested by the FBI on seven criminal counts in connection with the Mueller investigation, Enrique Tarrio, the chairman of the Proud Boys, met Stone as he left the courthouse in Florida. Tarrio, who wore a “Roger Stone Did Nothing Wrong” T-shirt, sold by a company owned by Tarrio, told a local TV reporter that the indictment was nothing but “trumped-up charges”, and was later seen visiting Stone’s house. The next day, in Washington D.C., a small number of Proud Boys demonstrated outside the courthouse where Stone pleaded not guilty to the charges, carrying “Roger Stone did nothing wrong” signs and others that promoted the InfoWars conspiracy website. The Proud Boys got into an argument with anti-Stone hecklers. Tarrio was later filmed behind President Donald Trump in February 2019, during a televised speech in Miami, where he was seen wearing the same message on a T-shirt.
Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnes said Stone was “one of the three approved media figures allowed to speak” about the group. When Stone was asked by a local reporter about the Proud Boys’ claim that he had been initiated as a member of the group, he responded by calling the reporter a member of the Communist party. He is particularly close to the group’s current leader Enrique Tarrio, who has commercially monetized his position.
There will be enough to paint the high level picture that his team and Sycophants orchestrated it… but Trump won’t go down for this… he’ll go down for something like tax evasion or squeezing a confession out of a mid-level buttplug
