I read something about Mallet recently – I wish I could find the link. It was basically this idea that Bill O’Brien could trade for him b/c of the ties with the Patriots. This guy said that there was no chance, because Mallett was notoriously lazy.

Like him or not, youd be foolish if you didnt choose Glennon over those guys. Who has more trade value though? Well if we do indeed draft a QB and want to trade Glennon, would that not lower his trade value a little just because other teams know we’re pretty much dumping him?

Glennon and its not close. hes actually got starts under his belt and showed some promise and won some games. Cousins had 1 good game and a couple bad ones. Mallett has done nothing

There seems to be some weird notion that Mallet is worth a 2nd rounder and the same talk is brought up every offseason… Lol. What has he done or shown to validate such? Glennon isn’t the best QB in the world but if common “consensus” seems to point to Mallet being worth a 2nd, what does that make Glennon?

I’d go for Glennon. He was the best rookie QB last year, and all things considered, throwing for 2,608 yards, 19 TDs to 9 INTs and a QB rating of almost 84 showed he has the potential to be a decent starting QB. He just needed a better coaching staff, and an improved/more healthy supporting cast. If I was looking for a QB and wasn’t thrilled by the rookies in this year’s draft, then Glennon is the guy I’d trade for.Cousins showed flashes in his first season, and then struggled late last season. In the right situation he could be a decent player.Not seen enough of Mallet to even guess if he's worth a late round draft pick let alone a 2nd. I'd rather draft a rookie.

Another thing to consider is Glennon is only 1 year into his rookie contract.
