Basically: “Nothing we can’t fix.” St. Lovie was St. Lovie and unfortunately thus far, nothing has changed.

What was his explanation for having 12 defenders on the field like 4 times in the second year of his defense?

C'mon 12 defenders is part of the game plan!  If you cant beat them with 11, youve got to go with 12!  DUH!!!

Wouldn't mind seeing us throwing out a set with 8 receivers (14 players total) on one side as part of a Octareceiver package. Sure, it's going to get called back, but it'd be hilarious to see our opponents confusion pre-snap.

What was his explanation for having 12 defenders on the field like 4 times in the second year of his defense?

I asked him about that specifically.(On getting the right personnel on and off the field)“When you try to match up sometimes and have the ideal setup for what they have, it doesn’t work the way you would like for it to do sometimes. In particular, we substitute – of course, they go three receivers – we try to match up with an extra defensive back, take out a linebacker. When a team, in short yardage situations, goes two tight ends, two running backs, we try to match up a corner for a safety. Those were some of the problems that we had yesterday. Those aren’t things we will have a lot of trouble with going forward. We can simplify some of that.”

Here's my follow-up question:Why did you make it complex in the first place? And then the other follow-up question:Is this, combined with the constant drive-killing penalties, a sign that the coaching staff is having issues communicating basic fundamentals to the players? Then you drop the mic

Well, if we're going to do this, we need to do it right. We need flip as many tables as possible, I figure you and I can do this which will in turn buy Mark enough time egg the stage/podium area hopefully ruining I figure by this point, about 2 polos, maybe more if we're lucky. This stuff isn't going to come off with a single wash, no sir. At this point, Everyone is fixated on Mark only it's not Mark, it's the FSU ball boy. Mark is actually unplugging everyone's equipment. It's going to be tricky, but Scott has to sneak a powerful handheld Swingline office stapler in, which in this split moment he will staple Stroud and Cumming's ties to the table. It's going to take a lot of pressure to get it to go through. Everyone is going to make a b-line for the door at this point, only Subs has the door on lockdown, nobody can leave without buying a bunch of PewterReport T-shirts. Our getaway plan is that everyone jumps in the hamper with all the littered yellow flags from last Sunday's game and the cleaning crew takes out to the road.Casualties:- 2 Neckties presumably from the Van Huesen Collection at Kohls.- 2 Bucs Polos, Maybe 3.- 1 Cheeseburger (Garv was hungry)Our Haul:- $32.16- GI Joe Action Figure (It was all Chip Carter had to offer as payment)

What is the reaction in the room when he gives an asinine response like that?  Serious question.  I know you guys get a lot of coach speak nothing, but was there any follow up to that?

Sounds to me like he’s calling his players out basically saying that they are not smart enough to understand his system, which may very well be true. Maybe in the past, his teams have been smart enough to kind of govern themselves without having a coach tell then every little detail.Unfortunately, that style won't work with this team. They need to be told everything to do. Lovie will have to give them very structured guidance on everything they do.I would place the blame on both Lovie and the players on this. The players for not having any initiative and Lovie for not knowing his players well enough.

Would it kill the mood if before dropping the mic, you yell, "Dot Matrix Printer will have your job next year", give him a stare down, then drop the mic

Isn't it the same as every other time St. Lovie answers with his stock answer to any problem? "Nothing we can't fix." At SOME point you want someone to ask him why doesn't fix it if he can!LOL But that would make a reporter unpopular and persona non grata at One Buc. I get that. But damn, inquiring fans want to know!

I would recommend get a new coach to be the personnel changer. But to me the answer seemed to be Lovie taking the heat for either the players or one of the coaches not being prepared.
