Looks like we are headed for an expanded play off format. Personally I am against this even as it may be what it will be. No, we probably won’t have a lot of 8-8 teams make the play-offs given that we have 4 divisions. At the same time, I like that the teams who get to host the second round of the play-offs have that week off. A 14-2 or 13-3 team might not even make the second round in a one game elimination format and they’ve earnd that week off. What about a second round of the play-offs with only one divisional champion. Yes, we went 10-6 in 2010 and missed the play-offs. Well we didn’t make but making the play-offs is supposed to be hard. That is what makes the regular season such a great thing. Call me a traditionalist but I love the way it is. I enjoy the PAT. I enjoyed the hard hits that have been taken away. I think the way instant replay was put in the second time has been well done. I don’t like an expanded play-offWould be interested in a quick point-counter point from Pewter Report on this.
