Underrating some of the old players like Kelly and Quarles and overrating some current players like Jensen and White.
I don’t think necessarily the 2002 team was the best Bucs team of that era, they just had everything fall in their favor: easy schedule, weak playoff field, some 50/50 plays went their way. The 1997, 1999, 2000, 2005 teams could have won championships if a couple things had gone right. Which brings me to what the article is missing… the process. The 2002 championship was a culmination of great drafting, savvy free agent pickups, great coaching from the head guys to the assistants, players that had literally grown up together and had been teammates for a long time. This current era has been drafting bad, spotty coaching and is now trying to backdoor their way into a championship.
