7 win team, haven’t seen playoffs x 12 seasons, five head coaches in that time, two GMs, a laughingstock QB who loves to throw to opponents for TDs…..what is there to respect, exactly?

Yeah, I don’t understand the preoccupation with National Media respect.

Call them out for specific things like when they make erroneous reports, say shallow boilerplate stuff while covering games (which reveals that they spent their research time on the links or clubs) and pretend that’s actual worthy journalism or when the play a role in screwing Lavonte out of Postseason Rewards (and therefore a possible HoF resume).

But, until they actually have real success for a few years, this team deserves no benefit of the doubt/respect when it comes to predicting annual team success.

    Explain the Browns.

They haven’t won crap since the days of the leather helmet.

    It’s all about the media.

How did I know Morgan was going to join in with this thread? He’s breaking the record for being a broken record.

The article specifically addressed Lavonte David’s lack of recognition, poor officiating(titans fumble blown dead) and a schedule that incorporated a brutal road stretch.

Perhaps the title was misleading but all of the above were common gripes that were heavily discussed on this board.

Who cares. Get back into the playoffs first before we complain about getting national love…

That was my point. The NFL provides bad teams help. They give the tge best draft choices.  They give them easier schedules. Bucs squandered this. Ya’ll should be outraged.

Nobody wants to look at a half empty Stadium on National TV. It’s an embarrassment.

They don’t really deserve much national attention.  The last two seasons the biggest stories about the Bucs were one QBs suspension and the play of the back up during that time, and then the QBs propensity to throw interceptions.  Now the only interesting part about the Bucs is should they try to keep their QB.  Seriously, for what 3 years now Winston has been the only story of note about the Bucs, and not for good reasons.

There are drawbacks to being a bad team as a few have pointed out – schedule, quality of refs, etc.  All the more reason to do everything you can to not be a bad team.

The Bucs aren’t good enough at being bad (like the Browns) to be interesting for being bad.  5-11, 6-10, 7-9, etc. that’s no man’s land for an NFL team.  When a team is really bad they’ll at least be part of the main stories during draft time.  For teams like the Bucs, no one cares except the teams fans.

None of this should really surprise anyone.
