      Its game day Tampa Bay! Its a home game! Its primetime! Its MNF!  Its…..preseason…. and the game doesn’t count.But there are still some interesting things to watch out for tonight, fellas. Here are a couple of things ill be looking forward to seeing in tonight's game:-How will Lovie respond to last week's game (who will he try to substitute and how effective will those substitutions be)?-Will Jameis show us improvement? -Will the defensive line generate pressure on Andy Dalton?-How will Ali Marpet do against Geno Atkins? According to rotoworld.com, "Bengals DT Geno Atkins has reportedly been the best player on the field so far in training camp."What will you be looking for in tonights game?

      As much as I like Marpet, I’m much more interested in seeing improvement from Smith at LT.  Marpet’s the better story but Smith’s the more important player.

      The Bengals are one of the most talented teams in the league, if not the most talented other than their QB.If we can sustain 2 scoring drives against them and not turn the ball over (with the first team), I will be thoroughly impressed. On defense, if we can hold them to field goals and even a couple of punts, that would be improvement in my opinion.Basically, I just want us to show that we can legitimately compete against one of the best teams in the league.

      I’m looking at the DLine specifically. I’m actually hoping that there’s some experimentation with the lineup throughout the game to find the best four rushers. Isn’t that what the offseason and preseason for. Even if at times it means that throughout certain occasions in a game that there’s 4 DTs on the field: MCoy/Melton at end and McDonald/McDaniels at tackle. I believe with the teams depth at tackle, it wouldn’t hurt to try. Even Bowers/Gholston could play end at times to spell players. Just try what can deliver the most potential. Can’t be stuck in a box doing the same thing over and over expecting the same results, that’s insanity! Be creative try something different and maybe the team can be pleasantly surprised with what they find.

      The bold is the main point I'm looking for. More specifically, how does the defense look with Smith calling the plays now. Will we see improvement right away? How will the safeties look?  Will the CBs give up first downs because they're playing 50 yards off the line?
