Per NFL Network. Big changing of the guard in the NFL.. Makes what Brady is doing much more impressive!

      Rivers and Brees. Wow, legends.

Wonder how much longer Big Ben will play.

      Surprised.

They need Watson or Luck(lol) to be a playoff team next year.

      Similar to us, loaded elsewhere.

Qb is the most important position in sports, however.

Not quite sure I’d throw Rivers into the legend pile.

      Good QB though!

I bet Wentz ends up in Indianapolis.

Agreed. Thats the best place he’d turn it around.

I doubt philly trades him though. They’d have way too much dead cap space.

      Philly Philly!! Lmao.

If Rivers announced today, does Brees announce tomorrow? This afternoon? I imagine this is coordinated to a degree to allow proper time for reflection between announcements and also to not draw attention from the games this weekend.

Leeroy, I think I read rivers announced today because it is St. Fabian’s day, and that is the saint that watched over athletes. And it is also the anniversary of the game he played with a torn ACL against the pats.

Lucky to have been a fan in this era seeing both Brees and Rivers for their whole career.

He had a hell of a career. If he won the super bowl he would have been up there as one of the all time greats.

        Definitely a HoFer.

17 NFL seasons at a high level? Almost always in the discussion as a top 10 QB in the league (of course probably closer to top half now and the latter years).

I remember being on the fence about Eli Manning. And I was initially on the fence about Rivers. However it’s not their fault they’re playing in the greatest generation of QB play.

I don’t think either he nor Eli are first ballot HoFers, but I’m sure they’ll both get in eventually.

Rivers, Smivers, we got the GOAT!

Seriously tho, he’s had a great career. Wasn’t a fan of signing him either.

Not a Hall of Famer. This isn’t the Hall of Good.
