Can you believe it, Bucs fans? The time is almost here. Your Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the first team to host the Super Bowl in their own stadium. The Bucs face a daunting task against the Chiefs, who not only already defeated Tampa Bay once this season, but also lost just one time when Patrick Mahomes was starting at quarterback. In these situations though, you can’t doubt the GOAT Tom Brady in the big moments. Tampa Bay took Kansas City’s best shot last time, and I think the second half that the Bucs played gave them the confidence to know they can beat this team. It’s going to be on Shaq Barrett and Jason Pierre-Paul to take advantage of the injured tackles of the Chiefs that won’t be playing. The Bucs need to get it going with just a four-man pass rush. I expect Brady to have a big game, and it’s going to be important to exploit the Chiefs’ biggest weakness on defense, which you could argue is their linebackers. It helps too that Antonio Brown is back, but I think Rob Gronkowski or Chris Godwin could have a huge game going over the middle. Mike Evans is always a threat as well, so watch him get another touchdown. It won’t be easy, but it’s not impossible. Can the Bucs make Super Bowl history on their own field?
From reading and listening to most of the talking heads this week all picking the Chiefs, you wonder why the Bucs should even bother. But I guess they’ll show up anyway cause they have nothing better to do. (Sarcasm there).
Bucs win convincingly. I have seen this movie before. The Chefs believe all the “experts” and their hype while the Bucs just go play great football, their best game of the season and win Tampa Bay’s second Lombardi Trophy.
Jordan Whitehead is going to play through a fully torn labrum in Super Bowl LV, source said, an injury that includes additional shoulder damage. Whitehead was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but practiced fully on Friday. He’ll play in pain
Most interesting anecdote of the week. Belechick telling the Pats in 2000 that if Marshall Faulk gets 125 yards or more on the ground, the Pats are going to win the game. I bring it up because KC is super similar to the Rams. Way more dangerous and productive when Mahomes is throwing than when they are running.
Tampa either needs to slow the game down or get multiple turnovers. Preferably both.
Whatever happens its been a pleasure rooting with all of you, a smart and passionate group of people. I thought we would make the playoffs, didn’t think we’d make it this far. Extremely happy we have. Anyways, “I’ll see you on the beach.”
Dont know if it’s the game about to start of the alcohol I’ve consumed, but LETS F###INNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Dont know, it just hit me, but I can’t help but wanting to bitch slap the Kansas City Chiefs so hard right now. I’m ready to go out there and hit people.
