Predict Jameis and Mariota’s stats from Sundays game. Im going with:Jameis: 14/23 242 yards 2 TD 1 INTMariota: 21/34 220 Yards 1 TD 3 INT 7 Rush 52 Rush YardsBucs take an early lead and Martin helps take the load off Jameis. Mariota is forced out of his comfort zone by having to play catch up and makes more mistakes as a result.
Winston will complete 50 percent of his passes. Throw for 315 yards, and 1 TD to VJax. He will be harassed all game long, and will be sacked multiple times, and throw 2 interceptions. He will also rush for 10 yards. Mariota will complete 70 percent of his passes, for 220 yards, 0 touchdowns, 0 ints. He will scramble for around 40 yards, all of them drive extenders or pocket collapse take offs. He will play effective small ball. And make the defense look bad. Aside from McCoy, he doesn't have to fear the front 4 too much. They are slow, and limited in skill set.
I will give it a shot.Jameis: 23/39 301 yards 0 TD 1 INT 4 sackedMariota: 22/32 198 Yards 0 TD 1 INT 2 sacked Bucs fall behind due to four 3 and outs to start the game. Tennessee moves the ball down the field a few yards at a time but must settle for mostly field goals. Jameis heats up in the second half and gets some big chunks of yardage but the horrid OL play and rookie mistake INT proves too much to overcome. Despite a late TD with Tennessee in prevent defense, the Bucs lose 19-17.My advice is if you are betting on this game take the under on the points.
I dont think Mariota runs the ball even once in this game unless it is a goal line bootleg. He is not built to take the pounding that NFL defenses hand out. And he needs to beat Lavonte David, Kwon and Lansanah to the edge? Good luck. I dont think Tennessee is going to risk injury by running him and I suspect he has been coached up to throw the ball away if he needs to instead of running.
