In the early part of the year Trump was  at a 28% approval rate.

So it would seem that regardless of the negative liberal press,

Trump is gaining in approval rating.

I think he was at a 40% approval rating the day he got elected.

And if you consider the political scene as a battle between the House and Trump,

it would seem that Trump is winning the approval rating against the House by a wide margin.

Regardless of the dire innuendos from the liberal press and Virgil.

Life goes on in the USA.

Close to historical lows in unemployment.

Historical number of people working in the USA.

And over 6 million people off of food stamps since Trump’s election.  This is a significant accomplishment.

When the Dems didn’t help to enforce the boarder, Trump didn’t give up.

But instead enlisted Mexico,  and the number of illegals trying to cross is now way down.

IB, you actually created a thread that tried to suggest Trump was ascending by comparing a single Presidential poll to a fake stat and Congressional approval ratings that have been in the cellar for a decade.

Think about how pathetic that is? How desperate?

Perhaps not the best vehicle to lash out at others?

    Just a thought

    Virgil:

I included TWO unrelated polls showing Trump’s approval rating over 46% and they were chosen because they were the two most recent polls

Somehow I knew you would cite only one poll as statistically insignificant.

You  saw only one poll, because in your mind you had already made up your answer.

THE POINT IS that Trump’s approval rating has increased a lot since the first of 2019.

If Trump’s approval rating continues to increase, Trump is going to be tough competition in 2020.

Trump’s approval rating was 40% the day of the election in 2016.

Does a rating over 40% mean a Trump victory??

    He’s not gaining.

What is the source for this claim:

“In the early part of the year Trump was at a 28% approval rate.”

Why did you include Congress if not to make the comparison?

    IB, this was your argument

“I think he was at a 40% approval rating the day he got elected.

And if you consider the political scene as a battle between the House and Trump,

it would seem that Trump is winning the approval rating against the House by a wide margin.”

A – he got elected against a Dem with higher disapproval than him

    B. Why would Trump versus House be more telling than Trump versus any actual Dem running for President?

No one forced you to make those arguments
