Thank you WhoDatNation for all the support." All major news outlets and Graham's agent, Jimmy Sexton, have confirmed a long-term deal has been reached ahead of Tuesday afternoon's 4 PM ET deadline. Jimmy Graham - TE - SaintsSaints signed TE Jimmy Graham to a four-year, $40 million contract that contains $21 million guaranteed.Deadlines spur action. The two sides agreed to the deal hours before the 4 PM ET deadline on Tuesday afternoon. Graham is now the league's highest-paid tight end at $10 million per year, besting Rob Gronkowski's $9 million annual rate. His $21 million guaranteed is $5 million more than Jared Cook and Dennis Pitta recently received from the Rams and Ravens, respectively. If used correctly, Barron is a very good player. He should be played exclusively on TE and RB on 3rd down passing situations. He has done well against Graham and other TEs/RB in coverage. He has not and will not do well as a deep safety against #1 WR or speedy slot guys. We've seen Barron flash because he has unique skills. We haven't seen domination because he is not a true safety and is being played as one. The guy is a hybrid S/LB and won't reach his potential until he has a coach that can figure out how to match him up in our benefit on a regular basis. He is a box player and has skill to cover TE and the size/strength to tackle them. Those two combinations are not common.
