That $36M fully guaranteed is the 8th-highest among EDGEs currently.

Basically a two-year deal. Hopefully he stays motivated.

nope. depending on how they spread the cap hit over years 2-4 I’d say third year is probable. that’s also how drew rosenhaus operates!

4 year deal 72 mil, 36 guaranteed. thats 18 mil per year. as cheap as you will get it. How much is pushed into next year(s) ?

Ian Rappaport reporting Shaq cap hit for 2021 is 5.6 Million. Licht and Greenberg are killing it

5.6 cap hit this year. 3.5 with David, basically 9 mil for the both of them this year. It will be interesting to see if they try to work Godwin off of the franchise tag.

Do they still have anything left from Bradys contract re-work?

They could rework Mike’s and Dsmith contracts.

I wouldn’t. Leave him on it for this year and see if you can get him to sign a similar deal next year.

Next up, Suh, Gronk, AB and Playoff Lenny

I said 4 years $76 million with $40 million guaranteed, wasn’t too far off! I’m happy they’re under… that money makes a lot of sense to me.

Now the focus should be getting Suh to sign for another year at $4-5 million, and Gronk at $5 million.

      Greenberg pulls off the trifecta!!!

I mean, one or two more restructures, and you can have the whole band back plus room for rookie deals.

Impressive manipulation of contracts and cap.

Considering he lead all EDGE’s in sacks last year and pressures this year, that’s a damn-fine contract for the team.

Good on Shaq for taking less than he could on the open market to stay in Tampa. I like the dude even more.

Great news. The off season and FA is shaping up nearly has well as the 2020 season. We are definitely in position to retain pretty much the entire SB team.

Hope we dont end up like the saints in a few years due to these backloaded contracts.

Worth it tho. Especially if we win another sb.

Getting into cap hell after you close your run is fine. I’d rather win another SB and then be dreadful 3 years from now than fall one dude short this year and then be like a mediocre wildcard the year after.

That’s exactly what this team is trying to do. How many SB winning teams get gutted thereafter? Bucs are making a run for sure. Just win!

this seems to be great contract for both sides. we are going to know details soon, but three years are likely.

next season is going to be even more fun than the last one! not telling we are going all the way again, but (barring injuries) deep playoff run seems quite likely!

It’d be worth it for us though. The Saints have absolutely nothing but a bunch of regular season wins to show for the cap hell they’re currently in.

we can’t end like saints, they moved huge numbers into next years, we currently have two players with such contracts

The contract is 4 years $68 million. He has a $1 million bonus per season IF he gets 15 sacks and the Bucs make the play offs.

He definitely gave us the home town discount. That sort of loyalty is not common these days.
