That sucks considering we have the same record as teams 3-6I wonder if the new coach will think glennon is our QB or consider a qb here? Otherwise I wouldn't mind an o-lineman DE or WR at #6

If Brett Hundley declares, keep an eye out for him. If he’s there at 7 I could see the new coach pulling the trigger.

Depends on who is or isn't there, imo.  Had we lost another game and wound up picking third, I'd agree with you, but it's all too possible that there'll be noone even vaguely-sorta-kinda reasonable to draft there.  Also annoying - that we're drafting behind the Falcons.  Here's hoping Clowney winds up as a giant bust rather than the next Peppers.

It will be interesting to see if Bridgewater, Bortles, Manziel, Carr all go in the Top 6…

Considering Houston, Jacksonville, Cleveland, and Oakland are in the QB needy department I wouldn't be surprised. And STL has a history of trading down so they may auction that pick off to the highest bidder trying to snag a QB.

If it’s anyone but Manziel or Bridgewater, we’ll be looking for another QB soon enough. Other than fall on his face when it mattered what did Hundley accomplish?

Yeah, that's pretty much what I meant.  With those guys gone, it'd be kind of hard to get excited about a first round qb.  And even then, it'd depend on how you feel about some of those guys.  If the teams wants to draft a QB this draft, it may have to be McCarron in the second.  Note that that is not an endorsement of the idea.

You can’t just draft a position because it’s a need if the value isn’t there. That is how you end up with wasted bust picks.

Worst draft pick slot for a 4-12 team since the NFL went to a 16 game schedule. Lucky us.

The one bright side…in round two we have the 3rd pick of that round. Yes it sucks…but there will still be a damn good player at that pick and we still have an option to trade down and maybe get another pick or two.

Nope. The top 4-12 team (Jags) moves to the back, and everyone else moves up one spot. We'll be picking 6th in the 2nd round, 5th in the 3rd, 4th in the 4th, 3rd in the 5th, 7th in the 6th and 6th in the 7th.

Personally I would love to see Khalil mack or Sammy Watkins @ #7. Watkins would be a great slot receiver. Bring some much needed speed to our offense & can return too

What's funny is, if we had drafted Glennon in the first half the haters here would be crowing about how good he is instead of whining about how he sucks.  That first round label means a lot to a lot of people, more than the actual play of the QB.

Its impossible to predict who they draft at #7.New HC might like Glennon, or might want a QB at that spot.  Too early to speculate.  We don't even know who, and what his philosophy will be.

Exactly. We need to go bpa for whoever fits the new coaches philosophy. Hopefully they get this one right. Very important pick.

That is a possibility now, however unlikely.  No frekin way Schiano was going to draft him.

As I mentioned before, I’m not sure he gets passed the Browns, Raiders, Jaguars, and Vikings. He’s from Texas, don’t put it pass the Texans either, it’s along time between now and the Draft. Also, the Rams have the #2 pick again. Someone might trade for him, I have a feeling it’ll be the Browns.

I really don’t think Manziel is going to translate well into the pros.  He’s fun as hell to watch no doubt- I just don’t think his antics hold up against an NFL defense.  I honestly think he’ll be a turnover machine between injuries.  He will make some highlight reel plays here and there building him a large following, but I have a gut feeling he will be too inconsistent to be successful.

All very possible. I think if he’s in the right situation he will succeed. If he has a coach who will play to his strengths, he will be fine.

No they wouldn't.  You're wildly misconstruing people's arguments.

I really like Manziel but I am not willing to trade a future first round pick to trade up and get him. If we can move up a couple spots and give up a 2nd rounder or less then I’d think about it; however, we have so many other holes to be giving up picks. I almost prefer to stick at 7 and see if he slips to us. If he does, grab him. If someone else takes him, then draft the best player available at either O-Line, DE, WR, or trade back a bit and draft a TE. Worst case we are stuck with Glennon for a season and we draft a QB in 2015 when the class is deeper. I think our schedule is pretty tough next year and I am not sure we do much better...especially if we unload some guys and start rebuilding. You are looking at Winston, Mariota, Petty, and possibly Hundley and Bortles (depending on if the last 2 declare this year) as top 15 guys. The Bucs would probably end up with one of those guys.

When we’re the only team in the division without a Franchise QB, If he’s your guy, you go get him. IMO, He’s(JFF) the guy. Get him, we have a lot of talent, and a good amount of cap space to work with. I don’t believe we have as many holes as others; The O-Line should get tweaked. IMO, we’re a Coach and a QB away from making the playoffs; QB on the Offensive side of the ball. On Defense, We need another DE.
