Tim can’t play qb. No one will start him.Personality does matter. Ask leaf, freeman, mike williams, blount, Hernandez, gonzo, brooks, barber, sapp. They all excelled or failed directly or indirectly because of their personalities.Developing in the pros... it always happens. Some for good, some for bad. Barber did it, brady did too, and plenty of linemen came out of nowhere to make a team, or flat out own their spot.

Interesting.  But I do tackle all of the good points you brought up to debunk this thought however :)

You can't tackle the "personality" issue. If a player is lazy, arrogant, drunk, stubborn, stupid, etc...it's NOT going to help. A team may succeed with those problems, but who is to say they would not have done better without them? It's a physical game, so technically, it isn't supposed to matter. But let me tell you, after twenty games in an entire year, all the practicing and workouts...yes, personality goes a long, long way for a lot of reasons, not just their own.
