I want to see a good, competitive game. Not a Carolina/Seattle type beatdown. If Manning scores and does the Dab, even better. Panthers losing would be nice, but don't really care who wins.

I know Talib took his helmet off, but I thought he should have been given some credit for not swinging it at anyone.

Which is worse:  Aqib Talib, Peyton's arm, or this half time show?

All 3 are good choices, but Peyton has made a couple throws. Gotta give him credit, but if they hold on to win, he should definitely go out in style.

Ya... I thought he should of had a pick on that one play early in the 3rd. He just played it safe behind the WR.

Despite Talib, Denver’s defense is playing a hell of a game right now. Carolina is the highest scoring offense in the league and they only have 7 points through 3 quarters.

Agreed. I wanted to see Cam be Cam, but the pressure is getting to his head (same thing happens to Brady as well). You can tell Manning is the SuperBowl experienced quarterback in this game, even though he isn't playing too much better.Just watching this game makes me wish the Bucs could field a competent defense.

      Its rigged right?

      Absolutely

I've become more convinced, over the past few years, that there is a fair amount of rigging going on in the NFL. The NFL is technically labeled as "entertainment" (a distinction they fought to keep), not sport, so there is nothing keeping them from rigging games if they want to. There is ample proof that it goes on to some extent in the NBA, so with millions of dollars at stake, why wouldn't the NFL favor certain story lines to entertain the fans and keep the dollars rolling in? It would be smart on their part.

My argument, to be more clear, is that rigging games has happened in the past, and that there is nothing stopping the NFL from doing it because they fought to be labeled as "entertainment," which means they are technically in the same category as the WWE, not, for instance Rowing, golf, lacrosse etc.

On a down side, I haven’t looked at all 50 Super Bowls, but so far this Super Bowl had the 3rd lowest combined NET yardage of any Super Bowl, ‘surpassed’ only by Super Bowl VII (Dolphins/Redskins), with 481 combined yards, and Super Bowl VIII (Dolphins/Vikings) with 497 combined yards. And those were primarily running teams. Tonite’s Super Bowl L had a combined 509 NET yards. Cam was under 50% passing and Peyton barely got to 50%…      If ya like offense, this was a yawner...

As dominant as the Denver D was, the Panther D was even more so. They only gave up 194 NET yards, while Denver gave up 315 net yards. That’s the first time in Super Bowl history the WINNING team failed to generate 200 yards total offense. If the Panthers hang onto the football, they likely win with their D.     Ironically, this is the THIRD time in Bronco Super Bowl history they failed to get to 200 net yards of total offense; in Super Bowl XII they were held to 123 yards, and in Super Bowl XXIV 167 yards; both losses.    The best beatdown, to my surprise, was by the Steel Curtain in Super Bowl IX, holding the Vikings to 119 total yards. Tops the '85 Bears in Super Bowl XX, who held the pre-Tom Brady Patriots to 123 yards...

If's, shoulda, coulda, woulda, etc. are nice but the reality is they didn't. Cam put the ball on the ground twice inside the 20. Von beat Cam more then the Panther's D beat Manning. Who needs more yards when you start inside the 20 or are winning trying to run out the clock? A good strat trumps total yards.

Yards allowed don't tell the whole story. When we beat down the Raiders in the Superbowl we "allowed" 269 yards, but that was one of the biggest ass kickings I've ever seen.  Conversely the 2005 playoff loss to the Redskins netted them only 120yards to our 243yards... and we lost. This game should be a wake up call to the Glazers and some fans here about trying to turn this team into an Offensive juggernaut.  Defense wins championships.

If I ranked the 100 QB's to ever play in the Super Bowl based on the season they played... and took playoff performance into account as well, I think I'd rank the 2015/16 version of Peyton Manning #100.  He sucked last night and was pretty dreadful all season.

Which is why your posting here and not working on an NFL team or for the league in some fashion.

As dominant as the Denver D was, the Panther D was even more so. They only gave up 194 NET yards, while Denver gave up 315 net yards. That's the first time in Super Bowl history the WINNING team failed to generate 200 yards total offense.

The Denver offense was pretty much in a conservative (don't lose it) mode from the moment they were gifted the 10-0 lead. So did they gain a lot of yards? No, but they tried to protect the ball and play field position knowing their defense had them covered. You play to your strengths regardless of what they are and that is what Denver did. So did their offense get 'owned'? No, they did what they wanted to do aside from that one pickoff which was Manning trying to get too cute.

Exactly. You better be able to protect your damn QB, because there are some beasts out there hunting him.  #draftthelines

When he finally gets up off the floor, ask Cam how that worked out for him.#BuildTheD

No matter what changes they make, the game will always be about protecting and attacking the quarterback.

https://vine.co/v/i1vp9xiL0m9Just saw this on NFLn (read itt he had crashed the set). The live feed had him running in frame and hopping a fence on the run with someone chasing after.  Trying hopelessly to stop him from running into a live broadcast.

It's leaning more toward that lately, but without that run defense (and offense), Denver doesn't come out on top.In our case, Koetter has shown the ability to get this OL schemed to perform regardless of personnel. The DL on the other hand ...

The Broncos stopped Stewart and Tolbert. Difficult, but not the real bitch of the bunch. Cam didn’t call his own number. With his shakey start throwing the football, his legs were the key to carrying his team. I’m sure Denver was doing things to make his taking off more difficult, but it’s not like he only had six opportunities to carry the football beyond the line of scrimmage.  His not stepping up to the physicality of that football game is part of the story of him wilting on the game’s grandest stage.  His meltdown was complete, and beautiful for me to watch in it’s entirety.  Few things in life are so complete.

In a nutshell, Newton (and the O’line) had not seen an athletic front seven the likes of the Broncos all season.     I was frankly surprised they beat the Cardinals, who IMO would have been a better match vs Denver...
