we need to get some guys back healthy in the worst kind of way

this game was way closer than it should have been and our back end of the defense is just wrecked

Pass interference for 45 yards, TD Eagles. Pass interference for 50 yards, TD Eagles. Almost gave one away tonight. The Bucs dominated this game, never should have been close.

10 Days off is key, I’m pretty sure we can get some guys back healthy.
I think we could have played much better even with all the injuries and we got out with a well deserved win and we should come back rested, I’m satisfied .

Brady needs the time for his thumb. I think he aggravated it in 2nd quarter. He started accurate, then wasn’t as sharp as normal. Mostly threw shorter passes in 2nd half.. I hope it’s not serious.

Some of you are too hard on the defense. Eagles offense didn’t do shit and went 3 and out most series. They got bailed out by a few really deep PI calls.

Our offense, apart from Fournette, was pretty bad in the second half. Something is up with Mike Evans; he’s just looking like he doesn’t even care.

Happy we have 10 days rest though. Hope we can bring some of the guys back.

From the Glass Is Half Full department:

While we have been playing backups in the secondary, as long as we can win in any way, it might be a plus later on as this group is actually improving doing better and better. It is possible that as we get Winfield, Davis, SMB, even David who covers, we could have more options to play a backfield loaded defense while only rushing 4 in the base look. that way we also have blitzing wild cards like White (David covers the TE sometimes) and even safety blitzes from either side or even shooting a gap. Guys like Whitehead are great for that in that they cover for the pass but if you have 5 other guys in coverage with David, he can bring unaccounted for pressure on the QB.

IMO, we have to beat the Bears. if we can beat the Saints while still injured, that would be a great plus but getting to the bye week at a minimum of 6-2 possibly going full healthy starting with Washington, we could be in the cat birds seat for the remaining 9 games.

The team played well last night. Still concerned with taking their foot off the gas halfway through the game with a nice lead and having to amp things up again to end it. The score was 28-22 but never should have been that close. I guess we can call it 35-22 because it ended inside the 10 on first down with 2 minutes on the clock. They would have scored another TD there but played it safe as they should. No need to have another Herm Edwards “Miracle at the Meadowlands” play.

It sure seems like playing DB for us this year is hazardous to your health.

The DB position is absolutely taking the biggest hit. That 10 days will give them time to watch and study more film.

Evans had Slay on him. Brady took all the underneath stuff and killed them.

Cox had an effective bull rush and Brady hit his injured hand on Cox’s arm or chest on the follow through. No doubt he aggravated it and it most likely messed with his grip and release.

Bucs need this long break, as everyone said already. Next game against the Bears is going to be physical.

It sounds strange but, our defense has played way better without our starters. Maybe we’ve been playing the wrong dudes.

No lead is safe with this team. Seems we let teams come back on us 90% of the time.

The defense got some help from Hurts’ lack of accuracy on many of his throws. Brissett was way sharper last Sunday. If not for the two PI calls on TB for 45yds and 50yds, the Eagles likely would have only scored 7, maybe 10 points at most last night. That’s a pretty positive outcome for a defense being so nicked up.

Many of us expected the defense to look better post Rams because we’re playing inferior offenses. We won’t know if we’ve improved until we see how we perform vs the Bills.
