per Bruce. Also he and Ryan Jensen wont play practice until Friday.
-
I’d feel better about Wirfs playing if Bruce’s dumbass didn’t send him back out there after getting injured. Hopefully, this won’t be another Gronk situation.
All things considered, Wells played fairly…well.

we are in trouble if Wirfs and Jensen miss time
especially if we get Rams next round
-
-
He’ll play, but sending him back out there up 3 scores was extremely short sighted.
-
It was beyond moronic to let him go back out there on one foot and give up a sack.
Brain dead

agreed. especially the fact that we were up 3 scores and with our injury luck didnt need him aggravating the injury further
-
Even if he plays, he’ll be less effective because his mobility won’t be the same. It’s another challenge, just like they’ve dealt with all year. Unfortunately, there’s no way to replace Wirfs, we just have to gameplan around the weakness over there. Maybe Gronk will hang in to block more often, or maybe they’ll employ another OL as a big TE to assist.

BA stated High Ankle Sprain. That is not good. Players rarely come back the next game with the High Ankle Sprain. Going to need a Tight End to stay in to help Wells or Leverrett. Especially if Donald lines up at end.

It would take an act of god to win this week if wirfs can’t go
Hopefully Lenny plays as well
We could hope that the rams under welm but don’t confuse the eagles with the rams lol.
To me it’s more comparable to saints redskins or rams earlier in the year

No but I have a relative who is an athletic trainer. High ankle sprains take from anywhere between 3 and 6 weeks to heal properly. The best thing to do would be to shut Wirfs down so he doesn’t damage the ankle further and make himself less effective next year.
-
We’re in the midst and of a super bowl run.. rightfully, the health of the player next year isn’t a major concern right now.
-
-
Wirfs availability is the biggest variable going into Sunday. That and the fact the Bucs have home field advantage.
-
Bucs have homefield advantage, Rams traveling across country on short week and no safeties
The only thing is that those advantages go away if Wirfs, Jensen, Fournette do not play
We also need SMB back as well. The Rams have alot of weapons and everyone must give it a go.
I was impressed with our 31-0 lead in the 4th quarter against an inferior Eagles team but to be overly confident against a Rams team that kicked our ass earlier in the year and also beat us last year in our stadium is hardly anything to be excited about.
if the 3 above dont play, we are in trouble.

Yea definitely won’t be easy. I mean theres some teams you don’t match up well against. One team that was last year was Saints but I think we got a little luck in that game to beat them in the playoffs because it was not our best overall game. I think we played well when we needed to and that’s exactly what’s gonna need to happen this game too because I see a tight one where whoever gets that play or bounce wins this one. I see a defensive game where if that offense just makes a mistake or play will be difference. Won’t be high scoring imo.
-
It was reported today it’s a high ankle sprain. I’m not liking that.
-
Reported by who? The Bucs have not released any info like that.
-
-
Not having smb last week was almost addition by subtraction.
Dean & Davis played well. As did edwards as the NCB/3rd safety.
-
Yall are gonna hate this but…
This is why you draft LINEMAN DEPTH and not reach on a 3rd string QB.
If we could have landed Creed Humphrey or Josh Myers with a 4th to trade up (we took Darden)
Or Mayfield, Christiansen with our pick.
I’ll be interested to see what Hainsey can do… he was a tackle but seems destined for center. Clearly we don’t like him at RT.
The whole thing is super frustrating.
Could have used LB or corner depth as well.
We are making a title run and our window is only 2 more years (likely). We won’t even get much out of the Trask rookie deal.

The Bucs were all set to take Creed Humphrey and the Chiefs grabbed him one pick ahead

When Creed fell to the Cheifs, everyone and their grandma knew they’d take em.
We had to know the same

Wirfs is at practice today with a high ankle sprain. Are the bluffing the Rams?
-
He will play Sunday. A week of rest and treatment plus an injection or two Sunday and he will be OK.
-
Want to win this game almost as much as saints game last year. Can’t stand the rams. With that said hoping gb loses if we win. Don’t want to see them do 2 years in a row at Lambeau. Don’t like odds winning there again.
-
no matter how hard we need him, I see no way how someone with high ankle sprain could play well just seven days after the injury
-
I have never seen someone play that quickly after suffering a high ankle sprain. Then again, Cam Akers came back much sooner than expected, lol.
-
Even if he does play, odds of him ending up worse off are pretty good.
I doubt he can even be effective with a high ankle sprain.
Might make a lot more sense to sit him, let him heal another week, and hope like hell we can survive tomorrow’s game.
I don’t know, glad I’m not making the decision.

Who called it a high ankle sprain?
The media. Bucs/BA never confirmed it.
Dont listen to everything the media/talking heads tell you!

walking boot plus watching the game essentially confirms it. dont be obtuse
Wirfs will try and gut it out. OL play with high ankle sprains all the time. its a very painful injury and they try and play through it if they can. i expect he gives it a go but i dont know how long he lasts
