That is worrying to me. This guy didn’t even play last year and needed knee surgery recently?

I wonder if they knew about it in the draft process.

Ian Rapoport said Joe’s knee was a concern leading into the draft. So guessing we knew about it. Cited toward the end of this article:

I have to wonder why they passed on Azizz Ojulari. His knee was a concern too.

But then again, we passed on Josh Allen for Devin White.

If was a projected starter I’d worry more

As a-rod says: relax. 4 months away from the season. All good.

      Which was the correct move.

Relatively minor procedure on a super young player, he should fully heal. There is just no reason to push it at this time.

Minor clean out , no different than what Brady had done after season , Tryon will be ready next month for mandatory camp , nothing to see here

Didn’t we also get Carlton Davis out of that deal?

No. That was a straight up pick. The deal that landed Carlton Davis was trading back 9 spots with Buffalo for two second round picks. We ended up with Vita Vea while they took Josh Allen. We used the two extra picks on Davis and MJ Stewart.

The trade back for two #2’s is what I was referring to..

As long as he’s healthy to go in mandatory mini camp, and training camp of course, I don’t see anything to freak out over. What they’re doing now is mostly glorified mental reps and classroom stuff and he’s getting all of that still.

That said, we’re not expecting and hoping for him to fill a starting position right now as he’ll be a rotational player at best. Regardless of who we drafted around that spot, they’d have been in this same situation.
