Right, I would have been more shocked to see him stay.

The min he said he was doing what’s right got his family, I knew it

Not sure why anyone thought he might stay.

How many teams will try to move up in the draft to get Tau? Could the Bucs try to move up to get him? What would the Bucs have to offer MIA to move up and get Tau?

Will teams be wary of drafting Tau because of his injury history?

If he had stayed and played for another year and got injured again his draft outlook would plummet.

I’d do it, minus Bridgewater and if we can move back and acquire an extra 2nd rounder.

if bucs have to wait a year for a qb to play, might as well wait till 2021 draft.

a team like GB should draft him and sit him behind arod for 2-3 years. or atlanta behind ryan. or det behind staffy. if miami takes him it would be with one of their later picks

tua is a succession plan in 2+ years … not someone to bring in as a near term starter. i think tua should be drafted late 1st .. and only to lock in the 5th year option given the delayed schedule he will be on.

It’s not as if he would have overtaken Lawrence next year even if he came back full-strength.  There was really very little good reason for him to not declare.

Cue @gottajaboo “he shouldn’t even be drafted. Worst QB ever. It’s weird.”

No thanks on Tua.  He’s already injury prone behind the best OLine in the country while facing opponents that are clearly weaker.  When he gets to the NFL, his oppositions will be better than what’s in front of him.  I’ll be surprised if he lasts more than 3 seasons… from a physical stand point.
