          does NOT give him total authority to hire his own assistants?  Would the Glazers use that authority to bring in Shanahan as OC? That ONE move would jump-start our offense big-time. I’m not a fan of Shanahan as HC, but would love to see him here as our OC.Sort of a reverse-Indianapolis when they hired Dungy as HC, but he had ZERO authority with their offense, which was totally run by OC Tom Moore.    If Schiano choses to resign under those conditions, I'd make a run at Rob Ryan as our HC, with Shanahan as our OC. That would upgrade our D, P.O. the Saints, and the Glazers would get out from under the remainder of Schiano's contract...

      Maybe Shanahan  son would come as a OC. But I think his father retires. Honestly I’m thinking more and more the only way Schiano leaves is if the Penn St job is his for the taking. Glazers don’t care about winning and will spew some garbage to us about why Schiano was kept. Schiano will in return fire Mike Sullivan and promote his man McNutball.

          I would also be fine subbing in Norv Turner for Shanahan… Not at all so sure about McNulty as OC…

      I was listening to the local news here in Ohio and it sounds like the decision on the rest of Chuds staff will come later today. Could be a completely new staff in Cleveland already. I'd love to snag Norv or Horton from them. Not sure if Horton would adapt his D to fit us though.

      Depends on how long the Glazers take to make a decision. Sometimes they tend to stretch these things out and all the best candidates and assistants get nabbed up.

      Lets hope they make a quick decision whether is keeping Schiano or not. Sullivan HAS to go. No excuse for the play calling and poor offensive play. Norv is pretty good at developing QBs and Schiano may think he can save Glennon. But will Norv wanna come here knowing that he could be in the same jobless position next year?

      Yea at age 61 with two Super Bowl wins as a HC and another with the 49ers and a billion dollars in the bank, he’s going to come to mess and be an assistant coach.
