I hate to say it guys, but the refs stink up the joint every week. If you, as a team, leave it in the hands of the officials you get what you get. But if you go out, execute, block, tackle and score then you take the game out of their hands and you get what you deserve. Just saying…

This is a perfect example of what I’ve said about Chuck for 2 years now. He made that play happen all by himself. 20 yards and 2 missed tackles. With no blocking other than Pamphile playing patty cake at the 25 yard line.
When I say you need more athletic linemen this is the exact thing I’m talking about. If Marpet was in there he would have eliminated that first guy (that Sims jukes anyways) at the first point of attack and eliminated the penalty and the need for Sims to put the move on.
It was a ticky tacky call anyways but if you had better players to execute the play call… the refs never become a problem in the first place.

From a player perspective, you can’t do it. You give yourself up to interpretation by the refs and things can only go down hill from there.

They should not be let off the hook here. I say it all the time. Redereeing influence in games is significantly damaging the play product by reducing the autonomy of outcomes from the players/coaches. There were two gigantic penalties in this game that were enormously influential to the outcome:
1) the above utter rubbish call.
2) the Unnecessary Roughness on Gholston that extended the drive and led to the tieing FG; he was leaping into the hit right as the ball was released and the face mask was into the torso. Nothing about that was a penalty.
Please wait… -
Huge blown calls happen every week.
One of the most frustrating parts about watching the NFL now is waiting for the inevitable flag after every big play.
And the worst part is, a lot of the calls are arbitrary. And now the NFL is apparently considering adding another layer of complexity with “targeting”.
Ugh.
Please wait…-
…never apologize for the zebras…..BUT
this is nothing new…..for as long as I’ve been watching football whenever there is a big play the first thing a spectator does is look around for flags. …sometimes I start looking before the play is even over…..
……you just need to make sure as a coach or fan your letting the officials know about shitty calls and surprise a shitty call comes your way……
I’m more concerned with the socio-engineering of the league. As I’ve said many times I feel the Buc fans have been the victim of inferior coaching and QB play for the past 2 QB’s.

– Rampant bad officiating
– The effing Eagles are good and have a bright future
– Tons of injuries to major players significantly affecting playoff contenders; Rodgers, and Watt/Watson among them (OBJ sucks too)The last one particularly sucks because you have the Houston feel-good angle and a promising young QB out of the RotY race.

@nobody
You know, it’s funny that you mention that “The effing Eagles are good and have a bright future”, because I remember getting into debates just 2 years ago about how the Bucs were being far more ruined by Lovie Smith than the Eagles by Chip Kelly. Here we are now and the Eagles have a shot at the #1 seed and we’re looking at a top 10 draft pick. Please wait… -
The Eagles….man, let’s slow down on them. Just like Dak last season. I like their team and think they’ll have a good run THIS YEAR, but, let’s not get carried away by what’s going on there. They are built for this year and this year alone.
Please wait…-
@gottajaboo
You are so WRONG about the Eagles that it’s not even funny.
On their DLine, they have Cox & Jernigan signed for 4 more years and Curry for 3 more. The only guy they really need to worry about is Graham who has 1 more left. Fortunately, they have 2 drafts to replace him if they can’t re-sign him.Their LB corp is pretty well set too. Kendricks, Walker, (and backup Grugier-Hill), are all signed for 2 more seasons. Bradham still has 1 more year left.
Their secondary is set too with 3 guys (Jenkins, McLeod, and Jones), signed for 3 more seasons. Mills has 2 more left, and Darby 1 more. So, while Jones recovers from his injury, they’re not hurting.
Offensively they’re stacked too. Johnson is signed for 4 more, Brooks & Kelce for 3 more, and Wisniewski & Vaitai have 2 more years. Their entire starting OLine is under contract, as a unit, for at least 2 more years.
Along with Wentz, they just locked in Jeffery who is a solid receiver. No, he’s not a super star, but he is a quality / reliable receiver (when healthy). Agholor came on strong this season and has at least 1 more season left with a team option for another one. Yeah, Torrey Smith blows and will likely not be back next season, but WR’s can be obtained in the draft. Having Agholor and Jeffery allows you time to find that replacement, especially since they have Ertz locked in for 4 more years. With Celek only having 1 more left, I think they’ll be able to keep him on “just in case”, at a relatively cheap price because he’s 32.
Their RB’s, right now are their achillies heal and it’s possible that Ajayi solved that problem. If he doesn’t, RB’s are readily attainable in the draft (unless you’re the Bucs). Depth-wise they’re fine. Clement and Smallwood are perfectly acceptable complimentary players and they’re both locked in for 2 more seasons. Even Ajayi has 1 more left.
Virtually the entire team could come back next season. A team that’s going to win at least 12 games. The biggest negative they have is that in this draft, they don’t have a 2nd or 3rd round pick. That could hurt, but it might not. They do have an extra 4th and 5th. They could decide to trade down, out of the 1st and pick up an extra pick this year and even next year. As of right now, they have their full complement of picks for 2019, plus an extra conditional pick coming from the Broncos (pick not yet known). In all, they’re not hurting in a real way. This team has a foundation to be dominant for a few more years.

While your initial point is good, the success / failure of Eagles / Bucs is less about the Chipmunk and Lovie, and more about the Eagles getting Pederson, along with a decent group underneath, while we get the Koetter / Smith Experience. (At this point, I’d take Jim Bob Cooter as a coach here, despite his name sounding like he’s a 70s porn star. 😎)
Please wait…-
@dcgoth
Your logic is faulty. Chip Kelly, even with all the crap being slung around about him, left that organization with a lot of talent. Remember, he had 2 seasons where he won 10 games and the season where everyone killed him, they still won 7. Their success isn’t only because of Pederson and their coaching staff. It’s primarily because they found a franchise QB and they have talent… talent which for the most part, was already there under Chip Kelly. Had Licht and Lovie left Koetter with a franchise QB and talent, the Bucs right now would have something like 8 to 10 wins instead of 8 to 10 losses. The Eagles always had a good DLine and OLine under Chip Kelly. Now, I’m not saying that it was because of Chip Kelly, because Roseman was there and picking players too. That foundation was set under Chip Kelly. He clearly did NOT ruin that team by any stretch of the imagination.
The defense that Lovie left behind is/was in shambles. There is/was never any pass rush. There is/was never any good OLine blocking. Lovie Smith left this team with maybe 5 or 6 legit players and the rest are roster fodder where each of those players are just a draft away from being replaced.

He means twitter. He is pretty active on twitter between his podcast and just interacting with fans.
It was a fan who tweeted that the offense’s woes were play calling. Stroud was saying it was not play calling, but rather Winston (or, at best, both). The tweet about PR and Nobody was directed at the fan, not Stroud, but it looks like Stroud took it as directed at him.

@TBayXXXVII – All valid points. Here’s the thing, until we see Wentz do it the year after he’s successful (next year), we simply don’t know if he’s an every year answer. We would need everyone’s hands and feet on the red board to count the # of times an Andy Dalton, Cam Newton, Matt Ryan or, Rick Mirer had a great season, early in their career, followed by a shitbox season. Anyone that says “I can see where Wentz is going to great for a decade…” is allowing the lust of his game this season blind the defensive strategy that is sure to be thrown his way very soon.
It’s the Vikings to lose as they are the most stout team defensively in the NFC. Eagles will probably lose prior to the NFC Championship game.
Please wait… -
On that I’ll agree. We need to see multiple years of this level of play from Weintz (from any player) until we can say “this is who he is.” If he comes back from orbit next year and is just an 8-12 guy the next few years then we’ll have:
– One year of MVP play
– One year of expected Rookie inconsistency
– Two years of 8-12So who is he then?
Please wait… -
@Nobody – Yep. I would have to say, he’s trending in the right direction and makes super quick decisions. Philly has every right to be optimistic. However, as stated, we have seen this many times before. I have a tendency to want to root for Wentz, but man, I could never root for the Eagles, just abhorrent to everything I stand for as a fan.

Well hang on. This is a completely separate argument. You initially said that the Eagles were built for one season… that’s completely false, they are built with the foundation in place to win for a number of years. Now, if you want to say that everything hinges on Wentz, that’s wrong too. Even with Foles (we’ll see proof of that now), the Eagles are a good team. Will they win the Super Bowl? Most likely no, I’d certainly bet against them, but let’s face it… there was no guarantee that they were going to win even with Wentz.
Next season, if Wentz isn’t ready in September and misses the first 5 or 6 games (for example), there’s still enough talent on that team to win at least 3 or 4 of them, if not more, with Foles. Also, the one thing that differs between Wentz and every other QB you mentioned… including guys like Mariota, Winston, and Prescott, is that we saw Wentz take a team with limited offensive talent and not only make a huge jump in his own personal development, but he’s making other players around him better.
Is Carson Wentz a lock for superstardom? No. He may pull a Blake Bortles and go from garbage to stud to garbage, but I don’t really see that happening. Even if he does though, this Eagles team will still be able to win. Look at Jacksonville now. They depended on Bortles last season and that killed them, but look at them this year. They go out and add a (potentially), stud RB and BOOM, they coddle Bortles and the they’re a playoff team and are likely to win the division. That’s where the Eagles are at. Now, will that make them a Super Bowl favorite? No, but they’re still a playoff caliber team. Something we CAN NOT say about our Buccaneers.

Today’s hot rumor
To recap, Belicheck and Kraft are on the outs, so Belicheck said F-you to Kraft by sending Garroplo to San Fran for a ham sandwich. Because Kraft refused to start Jimmy over Brady.
So anyway, Belicheck will be out of there pretty quick before the whole thing comes crashing down with assistants leaving for HC jobs because of Bills recommendations.
And Bill wants to retire to Florida and be a football czar type, no coaching involved. Please wait… -

It seems some want to move him back because our other guards sucked. That’s not the answer; the answer is to get better guards to play next to him
Completely agreed. The fact that Marpet played as well as he did this year (in his very first year playing Center) with very poor Guard play on both sides of him is a testament to what he put on the field and his potential. Center play is always improved (and hampered) by the quality of the play to the left and right of them.
Step 1 – Cut Sweezy.
Step 2 – Allocate that money to UFA Andrew Norwell (and another mil if necessary as he has been very good the last two years, not just contract year).
Step 3 – Find a mauling Guard in the draft (I just don’t see us supplanting DSmith with the OTs in this draft…and I’m much higher on the value of Guards than other people are while I also don’t find that just moving a successful Tackle, who is used to playing with different leverage and moving differently, to Guard is always going to be the answer…which is why I’m fine with Nelson if Chubb isn’t there).
Step 4 – Sign/draft an interior swingman for depth.
Step 5 – Profit.Please wait… -

This is the world we live in. I was thinking about ESPN and they laid off, I don’t know 100 people? … How many people did they lay off over the last year? More?!
Many of which were talented journalists covering the NBA. So this is not an ESPN judgement, it’s a societal thing more than anything. But where we’re going is away from covering the game and we’re getting closer to just sensationalized news, and it’s not even news, it’s just complete nonsense. But if you package that irrational nonsense with some glitter and ribbon, people are gonna watch.
I’ve talked to people in the media and said ‘Why do you guys have to cover that guy.’ They say ‘We don’t want to. Nobody wants to. But our bosses tell us we have to because of the ratings and the readership.’
So somewhere, I guess in Lithuania, LaVar Ball is laughing. People are eating out his hands for no apparent reason. Other than he’s become like the Kardashian of the NBA or something and that sells. That’s true in politics and entertainment and now sports. It doesn’t matter if there’s any substance involved with an issue. It’s just ‘Can we make it really interesting.’ For no apparent reason. There’s nothing interesting about that story. You know how many parents of my players have probably been at home thinking ‘Why isn’t he playing my kid.’ Yet we’re sticking a microphone in front of his face because apparently it gets ratings. I don’t know who cares, but people must care or ESPN wouldn’t be spending whatever they’re spending.

PITTSBURGH — At age 25 and fresh off a first-team All-Pro season, Le’Veon Bell is putting his own football future in question.
The Pittsburgh Steelers running back told ESPN that he’s prepared to sit out a season, or even retire, if franchise tagged for the second consecutive year.
“I hope it doesn’t come to that, but I would definitely consider it,” he said before Thursday’s practice.
Please wait… -
Ha @ Leveon Bell. If I am the Steelers, I am calling his bluff.
Please wait… -
Pay that man please. The owners can’t keep all the gottdamn money @GottaJaboo. One big hit and Bell is paralyzed below the waist like his teammate.
Please wait… -
I think he is set to make 15 mill even if he is franchised again. Don’t cry for me Le’Veon Bell.
Please wait… -
Seeing AB get $17 mil per year… you know he’s going to want at least $9 or 10 mil per year to sign a long term deal.
They’re both considered the best at their position. AB gets the most cash annually (even though Hopkins has a longer, richer deal- AB gets more per year) and you know Bell wants the same.
Pittsburgh could be looking at $27 million a year for 2 players.
All those players in Pitt saw Shazier go down on the field and come back to practice in a wheelchair. They probably all have the “Cash in now” mentality. I can’t say I’d blame them.
Please wait… -
That 15 million would be guaranteed. There is no signing bonus or any of that for tagged players, they get paid per game played. If they get hurt or god forbid they suffer a career ending injury it’s over for them. Owners are getting guaranteed money from the broadcast contracts, coaches sign a contract and their salaries are guaranteed. Bell is the top back in the league and he can’t get some type of monetary security? C’mon man.
Please wait… -
Not likely to happen, but sign Bell for a boatload, we have the cap room. Pair him with Barber. Go linemen heavy in the draft. And we would be good to go.
Please wait… -

InactiveJan. 12, 2018 at 1:40 pmPost count: 778The franchise tag isn’t fair for RB’s. They have REALLY short life spans in the league for the most part and this allows teams to control them without committing large guaranteed money. I totally get where Bell is coming from. If he played any other position and dominated the way he does he’d get paid and probably get 50+ mil guaranteed.

Less than month after starting in bowl game, Washington State QB commits suicide, police say
By Washington Post on Jan 17, 2018 at 9:08 p.m.Washington State Cougars quarterback Tyler Hilinski (3) looks to throw during the first quarter against the Michigan State Spartans in the 2017 Holiday Bowl at SDCCU Stadium. Orlando Ramirez-USA TODAY Sports
Police in Pullman, Washington, announced Tuesday night that they found Washington State quarterback Tyler Hilinski dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound at his off-campus apartment. He had failed to show up to a workout earlier in the day so police went to his apartment to do a welfare check, finding a rifle next to his body and a suicide note.
He was 21 years old.
“We are deeply saddened to hear the news of Tyler’s passing. He was an incredible young man and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him was better for it. The entire WSU community mourns as thoughts and prayers go out to his family,” Washington State Coach Mike Leach said in a statement.
Two notable former Washington State quarterbacks, Drew Bledsoe and Ryan Leaf, also chimed in on social media.
Leaf, who has had well-chronicled legal and substance-abuse issues, referred last year to his own “botched suicide attempt,” in an essay for The Players’ Tribune. On Wednesday he said, “Every human life is precious. All I wish is that I could’ve been in that [apartment] in Pullman, looked that amazing young man in the eyes & said you’re loved Tyler! I’m just like you & I’ve been here & there is hope, hugged him & never let go.”
Calling Hilinski “a great friend and mentor to my son,” Bledsoe pleaded for those in emotional distress to view “reaching out for help” as “NOT a sign of weakness” but as “the ultimate sign of STRENGTH!!”
Hilinski, a third-year sophomore from Claremont, California, played in eight games and started the Cougars’ Holiday Bowl loss to Michigan State in 2017, completing 130 of 179 passes for 1,176 yards and seven touchdowns, with seven interceptions. Hilinski threw three touchdown passes, including the game-winner in the third overtime, after relieving an injured Luke Falk in Washington State’s 47-44 win over Boise State on Sept. 10. He was expected to assume the Cougars’ starting quarterback job in 2018.
“The tragic news today surrounding Tyler Hilinski is devastating to all. Tyler was a tremendous individual, great friend and teammate, and he will be deeply missed. Our hearts go out to his family and friends,” Washington State interim athletic director John Johnson said in a statement released Tuesday night. “Earlier tonight, the football team was brought together and informed of the tragedy. There, they were met by campus and department counseling and psychological services, including athletics’ on-staff clinical psychologist and a licensed mental health counselor, along with WSU Athletics medical team. The university will continue to coordinate and provide ongoing counseling care for all student-athletes as long as needed.”
Washington State was scheduled to introduce Pat Chun as its new athletic director on Wednesday. That news conference has been postponed, the school said.

Desean’s advice to Jameis really speaks volumes of why fans and sports analysts really need to drink a nice cup of shut up juice at times.
Honestly, all that talk of how a ‘QB should play in his third year’,’ make or break year’, ‘all of the weapons brought in on offense’, ‘scoring points’… yada yada. There’s no doubt in my mind that he was trying to meet those expectatons.
To me it looked like he was pressing early in the season to make big plays and score a lot of points. Then the injury happened, he tried to play through it and had the same mentality which just made his performance worse.
With the season all but mathematically lost and everyone (talking heads) naming him as a bust on the season he came back with a workmen’s mindset. It was very noticeable right out of the gate, he wasn’t geeked up before games and he came out and performed well enough to have put us in a position to win the last 4 or 5 games of the season.
Desean’s advice for next season has to be the starting point for the rest of his career. Screw what people say, play your game, trust your coaches and teammates and have fun.

The biggest being he is a guard, a low value position, in a premium spot (Bucs selection). I am all about line help, and he is the best overall line prospect there is. Bar none. But again…he is a guard.
And that might be why Jason Licht will draft him. He is a solid prospect, who won’t replace any guys he has already drafted. Namely D.Smith, who we all know is terrible, and not a solid enough athlete to ever be a dominant left tackle. But he drafted him, so he won’t invest another premium pick on left tackle. He won’t double down like that.
So this makes me think he would be a no brainer for Licht. The guy most likely won’t bust, so it is a super safe selection that needs up the runnge and interior protection.
I wouldn’t do it myself, I would try like hell to get out of that spot and pick up more selections, rather than take a guard.

So, if the Bucs draft him it will be a fail because “hes a Guard” and bad value, BUT if he turns out to be a good Guard it will be “he only drafted him to protect our LT” or he was “the consensus pick” or “we should’ve traded down.”
Literally, all of the typical fan critiques in a single preemptive post. lol

Come on. Let’s go easy on Mr. “ASJ will put up Gronk numbers”. He’s worked hard to have his prediction win percentage resemble Jordan’s batting average in the minors.
I think the real irony is his obsession with such a mediocre hack like ASJ and his meltdown over us cutting him. His constant crying that Brate was inferior. More irony is that ASJ’s season stat line is something Brate put up in 4-5 games.
I mean, it takes real talent to average 7.1 yards per reception.

Former Bucs WR @Oneway_Reedy, who spends his off-seasons making $11 an hour transporting people in wheelchairs and stayed behind to assist with Hurricane Irma evacuations, is headed to the Super Bowl with the Patriots. My story from last spring, ICYMI:
========================NFL player’s $11-per-hour side job: Helping those ‘who can’t help themselves’
May 19, 2017
Jenna Laine
ESPN Staff WriterCLEARWATER, Fla. — Just before 11:30 on a Friday morning, Bernard Reedy gets a buzz on his phone with an address. It’s for a client who needs Reedy to pick him up.
The 25-year-old Reedy climbs into a large white van and heads down U.S. Highway 19. It will be the first of several pickups for a rather unique offseason job for an NFL wide receiver: working as a driver for Care Ride, a Tampa-area company providing wheelchair and ambulatory transport.
Care Ride is similar to Uber and Lyft, but for people with wheelchairs. Drivers must receive special training to operate lifts in the vans and properly secure patients. They must be first-aid and CPR certified, and undergo sensitivity training.
Reedy, who is trying to stick with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after a stint with the Atlanta Falcons, pulls up to a quiet mobile-home park in Largo. He greets his first client of the day, Carlos Velez, who is waiting under a carport.
Velez, 70, served in Korea and Vietnam and is now confined to a wheelchair. He still has some walking ability, but he fell last year and suffered a hematoma, forcing him to undergo brain surgery. A wheelchair helps him get around safely.
“Is that your motorcycle?” Reedy asks as he gently pushes Velez toward the van.
Velez responds, “I used to have one, but I sold it because of my vision.” He points to his right eye. “I’m legally blind.”
Reedy says, “I like motorcycles. … You ever rode a dirt bike?”
Velez responds, “Back home in Puerto Rico when I was young. I always had a Honda. The last Honda I had was a 1300.”
The two have ridden together in the van before. Their conversations are usually centered around the weather, politics, restaurants and how Velez is feeling physically. Sometimes Velez airs out his frustrations with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Despite their many conversations, Velez forgot that Reedy is an NFL player. Most of his clients have no idea. And why would they? Most NFL players don’t have side jobs like Reedy’s. Only a few of his Bucs teammates know about his other gig that pays him $11 an hour.
“All my other teammates that I know that I personally talk to, they all caked up — they all got money, a whole lot of money,” says Reedy, who has a $465,000 base salary with the Bucs for this season, but it’s not all guaranteed. “When I get to that tax bracket with them, I’m going to continue to work here during the offseason. … You always want to be grateful.”
Getting a job ‘so I could continue to live’
When the Falcons waived Reedy in 2015 and he had trouble landing with another team, he moved to St. Petersburg, right outside Tampa, and back into his childhood home. It helped ease the burden of having to pay rent, and it allowed him to continue to train while looking for work.
“The money in your savings is only going to last so long. I had to go out and get a job so I could continue to live,” Reedy said. “You want to always have something you fall back on. If you don’t work, you don’t have any more income, so it’s just decreasing. You’ve gotta go find a way to make some money.”
As an undrafted free agent out of Toledo, Reedy had spent the entire 2014 season on the Falcons’ practice squad, earning $108,600, according to NFLPA records. But in 2015, because he took part in only OTAs, he made $6,240 from football. That’s how unpredictable the NFL can be for a player like Reedy.
He spent the entire 2015 season at Care Ride, working eight-hour shifts, five days a week, including Sundays. He didn’t listen to NFL games on the radio because that was too hard. He listened to gospel music instead. Faith is what kept him motivated.
In February 2016, he signed a futures contract with the Bucs, reuniting with head coach Dirk Koetter and defensive coordinator and former Falcons coach Mike Smith. Reedy suffered a torn meniscus in the preseason and was waived/injured. He re-signed with the Bucs’ practice squad after he healed in December and was on the 53-man roster for two games, earning $85,879 for the season, according to NFLPA records. That figure does not include an injury settlement.
“When I get to that tax bracket with [my teammates], I’m going to continue to work here during the offseason. … You always want to be grateful.”
Through it all, Care Ride has been accommodating with his NFL schedule, allowing him to work three days a week when the offseason begins. Now that the Bucs are into offseason conditioning, he’s at the team facility four days a week and cuts back to once a week or every other week with Care Ride.
When it’s the regular season, the focus is 100 percent football. But if football isn’t in the picture, he can work more shifts.
“They know that my other job is like a dream come true, so that comes first,” Reedy said of Care Ride. “They understand. A lot of them like sports that work there.
“I could still see me doing this [after football]. I’m financially stable enough now that I could be OK if I didn’t do this, but why sit home after you’re done working out, going over your plays and stuff? Why sit home when you can come out and make you some more money and help people on top of that? And I’m talking about really helping people, helping people who can’t help themselves.”
Football isn’t entirely forgotten when Reedy is on the job. If there’s a lull between pickups, he said he’ll pull over to study his playbook or read the Bible. He also turns the van into a portable gym at times.
“I’ll put my feet up on the [seat] and do some incline pushups and then I go and do dips,” said Reedy, who also tries to find a large parking lot so he can get out and do sprints.
Finding perspective and making connections
The NFL is a brutal business and Reedy knows it. You can get injured or cut at any moment, but it pales in comparison to the hardships many of his clients have endured. That keeps Reedy grounded.
“A lot of people … you may think you’re sacrificing a lot until you hear somebody else’s story,” Reedy said. “And when you pick up the same people every week, you get attached to them.”
That makes it difficult when they pass away. He still thinks about Michael Banks and Robert Latoza.
“[Michael and I] used to talk about muscle cars. He used to build engines,” Reedy said.
Latoza, who died a year ago, “was my dog. That’s what we called each other. That was my dog.”
He left cards at their doorsteps after they passed, sharing some of the stories he was told on their trips together.
It’s that level of compassion that endears Reedy not just to his clients but also his co-workers.
“He was one of the youngest employees we’ve ever hired,” manager Vince Cocks said. “He’s done a wonderful job for us.”
The two have known each other since Reedy was 16, when Cocks and his wife would attend Reedy’s games at Lakewood High School. He remembers the time Reedy won the game against Countryside High in 2009, when he ran back a kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown.
But there’s much more to Reedy than just football, and Cocks makes that clear. Even though sometimes he has to bolt off to practices and can’t work for months at a time, Reedy is an asset to them.
“He’s very personable. We get calls from our clients just saying how good and polite and safe [he is]. And he takes the time with them,” Cocks said. “We hope he does well over there [with the Bucs]. Naturally, we’d like to have him here, but we want him to play football.”

NFL LEGEND CORTEZ KENNEDY
DONATES BRAIN TO CTE RESEARCH
… Autopsy Reveals1/22/2018 2:10 PM PST
EXCLUSIVENFL Hall of Famer Cortez Kennedy donated his brain to the most famous CTE research center in the world when he passed away in May … this according to the autopsy obtained by TMZ Sports.
Kennedy’s body was discovered by a friend on May 23, 2017. At the time, it was unclear how the 48-year-old passed away.
But according to the autopsy report, the official cause of death is hypertensive heart disease — a heart condition caused by high blood pressure, according to Healthline.com.
The medical examiner also lists pneumonia and diabetes as a contributing factor to Kennedy’s death. He’s listed in the autopsy as 6’1″ and 265 lbs.
As we previously reported, Kennedy was hospitalized for swollen legs just days before he died.
The report shows Kennedy’s family requested the ex-NFL star’s brain be sent to the Boston University CTE Center for further examination.
BU is widely regarded as the leader in CTE research — they’ve studied the brains of several deceased NFL stars including Aaron Hernandez and Dave Duerson.
Kennedy played 11 seasons for the Seattle Seahawks … and was an 8x Pro Bowler. He was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2012.
