Many Trumpers here echo GOP talking points about who is to blame for the ongoing degradation of the government. This usually comes up in discussions about the filibuster and the nuclear option, with Trumpers almost reflexively blaming Democrats

Well, . . . PLACE YOUR BETS because there’s a real life “apples to apples” comparison on the table right now. The Senate Parliamentarian just cut the minimum wage forom the DEM CV19 bill.

Why does that matter? Because when the GOP was faced with a nearly identical ruling form the Parliamentarian THEY FIRED HIM

Will the VP step in? Will Schumer fire the Parliamentarian? Trumpers have said that Biden is under the control of AOC and the socialists. Its that wing of the party who wants the min wage, so maybe this will be the moment where the Dems match the GOP and fire the Parliamentarian?

      OT?

      KKKChron?

      JBear

      Spartan?

Do the Dems channel Trent Lott and fire the Parliamentarian?

      from your fav, Faux news:

Progressives urge White House to overrule top Senate official and include $15 minimum wage in COVID-19 relief bill
Progressives began to almost immediately pressure the Biden administration to overturn the decision

so far the Dems have resisted the urge to fire the Parliamentarian or even to override her opinion.

      Preditction

Voting Rights will b the end of the filibuster

Trumpers will blame Dems again BUT

1, SCOTUS is about to further gut the VRA . . . on the back of Trump nominated Justices

      2. there are roughly 200 state legislature bills advanced by the GOP to suppress voting

      3. the GOP is about to effectively filibuster the CVB19 deal, even after moderate concessions

these things will give the hard left the juice they need to convince other Dems to end the filibuster

the decline of the great democracy continues
