Will the DNC embrace or distance itself from "the squad"?

Will the DNC invite members of the squad to speak at the 2020 Democratic National Convention?

I recently heard a commentator state that they believe that whoever wins the Democratic nomination will have to invite members of the squad to speak during the Democratic National Convention to sure up the liberal base. I hear all the time that the squad doesn't represent most real democrats but I find it interesting that some people think that Trump's efforts to define democrats by their most extreme members may actually be working. What do you think? Will the DNC distance itself from it's most extreme members or embrace them?

I feel that the Democrats will embrace the fringe of their party and doing so will give Trump a lot of ammunition to hammer them. This has the potential to get very ugly.

On the other hand, maybe Dems will wise up, get some distance from the fringe and keep them out of their branding celebration of the anointing of the candidate they’ve selected to dethrone the evil Trump…. what do you think?

Well the GOP embraced the fringe of their party so, I don’t know how this plays out.

I’m voting for Warren and I don’t consider the primary rhetoric the same as the GE rhetoric… she’ll come back to the center.

Polls show the Dems want whomever can beat Trump. That’s all (we) want… I’m in alignment. I want him out… so while I like Warren the most so far, if she doesn’t poll well against him I’ll reconsider.

I know Medicare for all is scary to you, but welfare and socialism already exists in this country… for the rich and elite.

The free market is socialism for the rich – free markets for the poor. – MLK

In the end, as long as the GOP controls the Senate and can continue to filibuster and get nothing done at the hands of the Moscow Mitch, then all these “fringe left” ideas won’t come to fruition.

Only shot Warren has of beating Trump is rolling out a comprehensive healthcare reform.

When a health insurance premium costs as much as a mortgage and car payment combined it is time for reform.

You’ll get no argument from me. Obamacare was a bad compromise. It clearly needs reform but there are attributes people love – like staying on your parents plan, preexisting conditions, etc.

Either a lazy troll or a good example of the Trumpian cocoon

The 2018 midterms – overwhelmingly moderates

The border vote – squad 4 votes loses to 200+?

    Leading Pres candidate – Biden

Could go on and on about REALITY but it does not matter to Trumpettes or weak trolls

    🙂

Trump sinking in every poll despite months of trying to advance “Dems=squad”

Yet … it still resonates with some despite overwhelming evidence that is just untrue

If Trump loses – an historic event – it will be his own doing (or undoing). He’s shown he is more prairie town carnival barker than political savant

If he wins it will be because of the economy and/or electoral college, not because a lot of people see Dems= squad, a point proven by the midterms

It could. I mean people elected Trump, so all bets are off on the electorate 🙂

Kidding aside, I don’t see the angle but there’s no doubt the GOP is 1000% behind Trump and the “socialist” thing is his big word

Well the Dems can really get the youth vote of they embrace some of these issues that are considered socialism… student debt, affordable college, single payer health care etc… but what do they sacrifice in order to get those votes?

Biden is winning in the polls but frankly I cant stand him. He comes off as out of touch and basically dumb… but people like dumb (GWB, Trump) so I guess if he is elected and can win, I’ll go for it… he would need a VP like Sanders or Warren tho (something HRC should have done)

I am not sure Biden holds up well against Trump, which is the one point the Trump camp is making — that the polls will change when its one one one — that i can almost agree with.

The number one thing that Biden seems to have going for him is that people seem to think he wins because he is the anti-Trump. That makes sense in a world where Trump is his own worst enemy. I also think Biden can bolster his ticket by picking a running mate like Stacey Abrams

I think there must be a reason she chose not to run for the GA Senate. She is also a symbol of the struggle against an immoral GOP (gerrymandering, voter suppression) so she would bring out the vote.

She also appears to liberals because her succession to Biden would put a powerful African American women in office.

I can almost hear Chron crying

You know Goddam well that I am not a Trumper.  I’m just a Democrat/Socialist hater.

That said, your so deep in your cocoon that you can’t see and certainly won’t address the very valid argument I’m making that Trump is actually winning on this one issue regarding painting the left as crazy radicals.

All I’m trying to do is find out if any of you left leaners think the DNC should/will distance itself from the radicals or not.  The fact that you all seem to be deflecting, leads me to believe that you don’t want to distance yourselves from the extreme left.

This is your chance to clarify your position.
