PewterReport.com is reporting that Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris did not announce who his starting quarterback will be Friday for the team's 2009 regular season opener vs. the Dallas Cowboys.
However, Morris hinted that he has his own opinion on who the starter should be, but he wants to meet with offensive coordinator Jeff Jagodzinski, quarterbacks coach Greg Olson, general manager Mark Dominik, ownership and his team before naming his starting QB publicly.
Morris would not commit to a time in terms of when he would announce who his starting quarterback is, whether it's Byron Leftwich or Luke McCown. Morris did indicate that Josh Freeman would not be the starter vs. Dallas unless there is an injury to Leftwich and/or McCown.
PewterReport.com will have more on this story later today.
