The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will clash with the Houston Texans in the preseason finale on Friday night. What happened the last time these two teams met? How did the Texans fare last season? Pewter Report has a preview of Friday night's Bucs-Texans exhibition game.

MATCHUP: Houston Texans (1-2) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-2)

WHERE: Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida

WHEN: Thursday, Sept. 4, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. ET

TELEVISION: NBC

LAST SEASON: The Houston Texans compiled an 8-8 record during the 2008 regular season, including a 6-2 outing at home. However, that record was only good enough to have the Texans finish in third place in the AFC South division.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers produced a 9-7 regular season record. The team's December collapse resulted in the dismissal of head coach Jon Gruden and general manager Bruce Allen, and the promotion of Raheem Morris and Mark Dominik to head coach and G.M., respectively.

THE LAST TIME THESE TEAMS MET: The Bucs and Texans' last meeting in the preseason came on Aug. 28, 2008. Tampa Bay defeated Houston in that road contest, 16-6.

BUCS-TEXANS SERIES: The Bucs are 6-1 all-time in the preseason vs. the Texans, including 3-0 at Raymond James Stadium.
