The Buccaneers were back on the practice field this afternoon and Myron Lewis joined the team for the first time in over a week. Lewis, whose contributions last season helped the Buccaneers to a 4-1 record in games played without Aqib Talib, is being counted on to do the same this season in the event Talib misses games due to a possible suspension from the league. The former Vanderbilt star has been bothered by a hamstring injury.

Also practicing was Brian Price who is still recovering from a pelvic injury that required surgery and cost the second-year player the majority of his rookie season.

Absent from today’s practice was Ahmad Black [ankle sprain] and defensive tackle Roy Miller [knee]. Miller told PewterReport.com he is close to being able to go and expects to play in the Buccaneers’ final preseason game against he Washington Redskins.

Did you get to see Price practice? And if so, how did he look?

With Miller and Price not being 100% I am worried about DT. Theat makes them thin there... as well as young. I fully expect McCoy and Okam to be the starters this year anyway, but Price and Miller need to be healthy to be in there alot in rotation. Right now it looks like Miller needs surgery but they are opting against it... not good.

In reality, just by the sound of the injury and repair descriptioin, it is realistic to expect Price to ever really play....much less full out?

Yeah we need Lewis right now more then Price. If they aren't 95% I wouldn't play any of them. Go Bucs! Get Better!

Good to hear that Price is at least practicing and that Miller is improving. I feel good about this D-line, but we need to get our starters onto the field.

Glad to hear they are back, especially Lewis with the Talib thing hanging over the Bucs, although Price doesn't sound like he will really be 100% for quite a while, at least it is a start.
