The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that they have re-signed unrestricted free agent LS Andrew Economos and free agent LB Jacob Cutrera.
Economos, a special teams captain in 2010 and 2012, has played in 92 games with the Buccaneers, recording 20 special teams tackles and one forced fumble. In 2012, Economos snapped for K Connor Barth, who led the NFL in made field goals of 40+ yards. He was also the primary long snapper during Barth's streak of 25 consecutive field goals, stretching from 2011-12, a Buccaneer record.
The seven-year veteran originally entered the league in 2006 as a college free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Cutrera has played in 24 career games during his three seasons, including 16 with the Buccaneers from 2011-12. He has recorded 11 special teams tackles and two forced fumbles in his career. He originally entered the NFL as a college free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2010.
