Although they haven’t made a decision in terms of which player will start at left guard, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers may have that call made for them due to a lower back injury that has Matt Stinchcomb listed as questionable for Sunday’s contest in Minnesota.

“We added Matt Stinchcomb to the injury list; he’s questionable,” Bucs head coach Jon Gruden said after Thursday’s practice. “His lower back flared up. We think he’ll be okay but we’re going to list him as questionable for the game. Whether or not he starts, we’ll determine that later in the week.”

Stinchcomb missed a significant amount of playing time in training camp and preseason due to the lingering back injury. That has allowed rookie Dan Buenning, the team’s fourth-round pick, to push for the starting job.

Should Stinchcomb be unable to go Sunday, Buenning will get his first professional start on the road against the Vikings.
