While a number of national draft experts have predicted the Buccaneers to take Jameis Winston this May with their No. 1 overall selection, there are still some under the belief that Tampa Bay will find their franchise quarterback from across the country.
One long-time NFL insider who has Tampa Bay going with Marcus Mariota is CBSSports.com’s Pat Kirwan. The current co-host of Sirius NFL Radio’s Movin’ The Chains was previously an NFL front office member in the 1980s and 90’s, spending four years with the Buccaneers (1983-1986) as an area scout, before becoming an assistant defensive coach/ Director of Player Administration with the New York Jets (1989-1997).
In his mock draft, released February 4th, Kirwan acknowledges popular belief that Winston will be the first pick, but feels character concerns will drop him down one spot, before a team desperate for a quarterback trades up with Tennessee.
“Right now it appears Winston is the top pick for many draft followers,” Kirwan said. “But heavy scrutiny by the coaches and GMs is yet to come.”

Well bucs fans Here is my two cents worth of my comments. I think Qb Jameis Winston would be Tampa Bay first pick! Then in Rd-2 I would get the best playwers available. Then I would trade Martin and Glenn to Chicago plus Tampa gives up a number 4 in 2016. Chicago would have a rb &and a QB for chicago plus Tampa would only give up a no#4 in 2016. If this went down Tampa would get the qb they want. 2 no#2. And that would fill two big holes for bucs in Rd-2.Go bucs
