I think the answer is really quite simple.  With all the info and scoop they were able to get on Cook, from scouts, friends, players, coaches, etc. – the front office folks obviously didn’t feel they needed him. He may have many strengths as a RB, but if you look at a simple pro vs cons list, the cons probably outweighed the pros. One of which was their feeling of the need of DB help/depth. I think a previous poster is correct in the assumption that they were trying to trade up for Budda and the price was too steep and they felt they could get another guy on the board (Evans) without breaking the bank.

Draft a defensive end. Not this wideout. Bucs need defensive end help. Sacks. Pressures. They do not get consistent pressure. As a result, they won’t win the big games. I am hearing Calais Campbell being mentioned as a person of interest…but the guy is 31, Ayers will be 31,32…Gholston is a run stuffer…Noah is still developing and learning to defend the run. Need another defensive end. Fugging PERIOD!!!

Completely agree with this. EDGE. Campbell would be awesome but you know the Cowgirls will drop $$$ all over this dude’s lap. If not Dallas, Denver.

      Draft EDGE!

Why would the browns trade 3 picks to move up in the first round when they already have 2 first round picks?

That was my tought as well.

Really hope he doesn’t end up with Saints or Panthers. If he did, he’d end up being healthy and a problem for us twice a year.
