Feels like across the board the refs have had a bad year even by the admittedly low standards of NFL refereeing.

The answer is that we need to score even more points to cover this up and hope playing some crummy QB’s will mitigate the damage that can be done.

Yeah they were back in the punt formation when the Bucs stayed in the D. I’m guessing since they showed trick they stayed in the base in case they shifted back down into a real play..

Best case is trying to get him back into game shape slowly but really has OJ ever shown us anything in the NFL to make us think he is better than Gronk or really even Brate other than being an R1 pick?

Reality is we don’t have any really good RBs. I think the more Gio we see and the less Lenny and RoJo the better off we will be because whatever Gio might lose us in the ground game is more, more, more than made up in pass blocking and receiving.

Gabbert is bad. Always has been. The problem is he’s not just a non-value add player like an Alex Smith, he’s a net negative.

I mean truthfully this is what you got Trask to be right? This is an upside game for him. He made an athletic play on that spin and heave. The throw for the TD was a nice seam route and other than that he was Brad Johnson level efficient if unspectacular.

Exactly, his value is near zero so what we’d get back would likely be a Dee Delaney/Ross Cockrell type player which we already have.

The whiff is that having another DB drafted with that pick could have cushioned this shock a bit more.

The problem for RoJo is he is good at the least valuable part of the game and a flat liability everywhere else. His season, statistically was made in CAR with one run that accounted for over 10% of his season yards so he wasn’t a huge value add the rest of the year even as a rusher. Unlike a guy like Godwin who is an elite player RoJo is basically a backup RB that starts because we don’t have any better options.

It feels like the whole KR thing is the staff looking for something he can do for us. I have zero idea why they thought KR was a function he could fill. We all know if he was an UDFA we’d be talking about how he’s an easy cut and going with our top 3 RBs. Given the depth at WR and Te plus maybe CB the awful reality is he will consume a roster spot a potentially useful player might fill.
