Please just take the three days and get it over with during the worst stretch of the season. Don’t be like E. Elliott and put it off until late in the season.
Pete Wood commented on the post, SR’s Fab 5: Be Cautiously Optimistic About The Bucs; Toughness A Key Trait In Tampa 4 weeks ago
I agree that everybody was way too enthusiastic about the Bucs chances last year. But, who wrote this Fab Five?
Pete Wood commented on the post, Bucs Bring Back WR/KR Reedy 4 weeks, 1 day ago
Bellichick isn’t always right. I thought the Bucs drafted far better than the Pats this year. And, sometimes Bellichick dumps players for reasons other than on field performance. I like the move overall.
Pete Wood commented on the post, Bucs DC Smith: Hargreaves The Starter At Outside Corner 1 month ago
I want the man to succeed. I really do.
But I just don’t see him lasting past September. The Bucs will find a role for him, but ti won’t be starting CB.
Pete Wood commented on the post, SR’s Fab 5: Bounce Back Bucs, Breakout Bucs & Newcomers That Must Shine 1 month ago
The only one of those five who will bounce back is Winston. His decline– which wasn’t all that bad to start– really was injury based anyway.
Three of those four remaining probably won’t be on the team in a year. Hargreaves will be here, but in a less prominent role.
Bucs just need to wash their hands with DJAX. He’s never going to have the…[Read more]

I like Smith. I predict Bucs have a top ten defense this year.
Finally they tossed him a few bones in the draft.
Pete Wood commented on the post, Bleacher Report Says Bucs Cappa A Favorite To Be Surprise Rookie Player 1 month, 2 weeks ago
I agree unless we stash him away and don’t fully use him.
Ahem, like a certain tight end we drafted in the first round last year.
Pete Wood commented on the post, Bucs Draft Analysis And Draft Grades: OL Cappa 1 month, 3 weeks ago
Not sure I would give Cappa an A. Maybe a B minus.
I think this was a great draft, though.
I’m tired of people complaining about not taking James. If we had taken James, Vea would not have been waiting for us in the second round.
My only complaint is that I wish we had found a way to draft a second RB. Or at least had signed more than the kid…[Read more]

I’d rather see an analysis of the undrafted free agents. Are any of them any good?
And, what are the Bucs doing about getting another running back? I love Jones, but s we’re still one short.
Pete Wood commented on the post, SR’s Bucs Draft Insider And Day 3 Targets 1 month, 3 weeks ago
This is one of the best drafts I can remember, perhaps the best. No complaints from me.
I hope Bucs get a RB today.
Please, no QB or WR unless someone amazing falls into our laps.
Pete Wood commented on the post, Bucs And Licht Get Their “Ass Kicker” In Vea 1 month, 3 weeks ago
Bills overpaid to move up to number seven. Nice job, Bucs.
I understand that Vea wouldn’t have been around in the second round, but would someone please explain why he was a better pick than James.
Absolutely scratching my head.
We got a very good player, but could have snagged a great player.
I dunno. It’s all a crap shoot. James might be a…[Read more]

Only three more days and we get ten months without Mel Kiper! No matter who the Bucs pick, I’ll still have that.
Pete Wood commented on the post, Cover 3: Sikkema’s Final 2018 NFL Draft Big Board + Positional Rankings 1 month, 3 weeks ago
Yikes! Guice is ranked number one. Missed that. Wow.
If this ranking is right, then everybody is seriously overvaluing Barkley and undervaluing the other Chubb. I hope this ranking is right and I hope nobody uses it but Bucs.
Getting the second best RB in the draft in the second round? I can live with that.
Pete Wood commented on the post, SR’s Fab 5: It’s Alexander’s Defense Now; Bucs Won’t Trade Down From No. 7 2 months ago
I hope we get Nelson. If Denver is shopping around the number five pick, I just don’t see the Bucs trading down. Could happen, but unlikely.
I like James and Vea. Hope Bucs pick James. Most of the mocks I’ve seen show Vea going a bit later and I really don’t want to overpay for him. Still, if he’s the best player, what choice do Bucs have? He…[Read more]

He’d be a great Buc, but he’s fourth on my list after

At first glance I thought you said Derek Anderson and I thought, “Holy crap, I don’t care how bad Winston is doing, Derek Anderson is not the answer.”

Pete Wood commented on the post, Bucs Monday Mailbag 4-16: Dotson’s Knee, Draft Visits And Walking Away From Winston? 2 months, 1 week ago
After watching the nonsensical jockeying for positions by QB needy teams in a not great QB draft, I cannot imagine a scenario where the Bucs part company with Winston anytime soon.
He’s a really good QB, y’all. He’s got room for improvement, but he’s doing quite well, in my opinion.
The grass is not always greener. We didn’t exactly upgrade…[Read more]
Pete Wood commented on the post, REPORT: Bucs To Bring In Kicker For Local Visit 2 months, 1 week ago
We can’t be gun shy about signing players, because of one bad experience. What if Bucs decided to never use a first round pick on a QB again, because of Josh Freeman?
This guy sounds pretty solid to me. Good teams sign good kickers and solidify that position for a generation. I’d be very happy if we drafted him.
