Glad to see Pat back! Hope this time he can stick around – he’s a good guy.
nitey replied to the topic Why so little faith in this team? in the forum The Red Board 1 week, 2 days ago
Certainly having a reliable kicker would help. Most analysts had the Bucs at 2-2 after 4 games with a certain loss to the Pats in the 5th game so being 2-2 isn’t the end of the world.
Yes, the team did not play as well as we have seen them play last Thursday and yes, Winston wasn’t very sharp until the 2nd half of the game. But if Folk had just…[Read more]

The Pats are more vulnerable than they have been in years, but unless the offense can score 30+ points and we score touchdowns instead of missed field goals, I don’t think we win this one. I do not think it will be a blow out though, I think we will still be in the game at the end, but I see Brady driving the Pats down for the winning score…[Read more]

What the hell happened? It’s not like we have an abundance of rushing ends that we can afford to let one go without good reason. Hope PR can get some insight into this…

nitey commented on the post, Cover 3: Soft Scheme In Secondary Failed The Bucs 2 weeks, 6 days ago
Good article! Yes, I saw the same soft coverage on Sunday and also saw it get longer as the game went on, but wondered if that was scheme or something else. I never considered loss of confidence by the corners, but in retrospect, I should have thought of it. Missing Kwon and Grimes was going to make this a long day anyway, but if the game…[Read more]

Another good one Trev, already looking forward to the next one!

I agree with Joe, Glennon through 3 quarters had under 150 passing yards, mostly because they couldn’t run the ball. Then in garbage time he was able to add another 150 against some reserves. Pass defense in my opinion was pretty good.
nitey replied to the topic T.J. Ward vs. Bears in the forum The Red Board 4 weeks ago
Glennon wasn’t throwing farther than 7 yards most of the day, safeties had a bye game <grin>.
However, Ward WAS impressive in his limited snaps. Love the pickup!
nitey commented on the post, Bucs vs. Bears: Most Disappointing 4 weeks, 1 day ago
Yeah, that’s pretty much how I saw it as well. Jameis played better than he has in other opening games, but he needs to do better and he can do better. VH3 HAS to come down with that ball in the endzone and while I was disappointed in the pass rush, Glennon got the ball out quicker than I’ve ever seen him do it before. He was almost sacked 3-4 times.
nitey commented on the post, Worth The Wait, Bucs Dominate Bears 29-7, Start The Season 1-0 4 weeks, 1 day ago
I believe that this is a confidence builder for next weeks game against the Vikings. Jameis just missed on the long ball a few times or this game could have been 14+ points more. The offense did have some rust as did the defense, but it was good to see that they adjusted to that underneath crap that Glennon was throwing. I said to my wife after…[Read more]

Well, we get shade in the early afternoon, the other bench does not. Also we are going to have a healthy roster going in to the game, so we should be able to rotate fresh guys in easier. The heat index is going to get the Bears a lot more than it’s going to get us. We should own the 4th quarter.

Actually DH, I would like to see the replies work like they do for the Articles, so that replies to a specific user can go underneath the poster in a conversation format. That way if a couple of posters want to take a side bar conversation you can just skip it to the next topic reply. Also that would save a lot of space as you don’t have the long…[Read more]
BTW, thanks for moving the Bucs Gear banner to the top menu bar – MUCH better!
Yeah Mark, we definitely are. We need to start working on that 12-4 record you predicted.
nitey replied to the topic Vernon Hargreaves in the forum The Red Board 4 weeks, 1 day ago
I look to our defense locking down the Bears passing game making them one dimensional and forcing them to run the ball. I really don’t see them scoring very many points today. Depending on how much ‘rust’ the team plays with, and I’m pretty sure you won’t see much, the game could be low scoring by the half but by then the Bucs talent level and…[Read more]
nitey replied to the topic Will Jacquies Smith and TJ Ward be starting? in the forum The Red Board 4 weeks, 1 day ago
I think Smith will get some limited reps as a down rusher, but Ward is probably going to be inactive. Just not enough practice time to get up to speed. If he *does* play, I bet it will be 10 or less snaps in plays that he seems comfortable in.
BAY!!!!!!! FINALLY GAME DAY! Go BUCS!

Really guys, it’s nice to put that stuff up for a day or two, but really, take it DOWN after 48-72 hours. It’s annoying and out of date. Also not a fan of the floating BUCS GEAR banner either.

Sorry, but I disagree with everyone that thinks this team is going to squeak by (or possibly lose to) the Bears this week.
We have two TE’s that could start on almost every team in the league, two wide outs that would start on every team in the league and a reserve wide out that would start on some teams and our slot receiver would start on many…[Read more]
