PR talk, what do you expect him to say?

Possibly but maybe he's just stating the truth.

Sure he would have stated who he wanted before the pick, not after and had no decision in what to say.

You will not find a NFL WR who prefers a running QB.Every time the QB runs, it takes away an opportunity for the WR to make a play.

Good thing we were talking about mobile and not running qb's. Also it would be just as opportunistic for a WR, a big block down field is making a play.

Glennon in a perfect situation won't be better than Winston in the same, unless Winston just bombs everything completely.

It would be different if we'd actually seen Glennon do the things that some profess him able to do but we haven't.......why would anyone think that starts now?Maybe because he's put on weight? 8)

Yea i don't see it. That pick he threw in the viking game downfield proved alot. Perfect protection, Evans had the DB beat like a rented mule and Mike simply throws a horrible pass and it gets picked. Then there was the Cleveland game where Evans would have had no lie 300 yards receiving if Glennon could have gotten him the ball.

And then there were all those crazy picks Winston was throwing last season against college guys.

Just like that one. The LB was right in front of him yet he tried to throw it right through him.

First time I saw that pick I was flabbergasted as well. To me it also looked like he just threw it strraight at the LB. However upon studying a couple of breakdowns and dissecting all the angles on the play I could find, I came away convinced it was actually a pretty good play by the LB, who fooled Winston into thinking he was taking the flat (effectively taking himself out of the play) but at the last second he reads JW's eyes (which were locked-on starring at the WR at the sticks... hence JW's big mistake on this play) and jumps back, straight into the path of the oncoming ball.It all happens really fast, and yes it looks really ugly for JW, but its not as simple as saying he just threw it straight at the LB. More like he starred down his target and paid the price.

In other words college defenses confuse him and he locks onto one receiver so badly that everyone can get the jump on him at the college level. SO much better?

The poor are more inclined to commit crime.

Yep, good thing Winston is rich now.

Grew up poor and poorness is who he became as a person. It's who he is and always will be.

Coming from a guy who makes multiple sock accounts. Guess that would label you as lonely, pathetic, and lacking the ability to get laid.

Ouch, did someone get their little feelings hurts? I guess if projecting yourself onto others makes yourself feel better, more power to you. I'm sure you'll find someone to help you feel less lonely and pathetic in the future. I doubt the laid situation will be fixed though.

Those picks Winston threw against College defenses says a lot. more than 50% were with zero pressure at that! Remember the FL game? Luckily his defense bailed him out.

Did I call him Jesus? No, just that he is a better QB than Glennon. The players that matter wanted Winston. Evans and VJ. Would I care who Logan Mankins wants? No.

The players were asked after a player was drafted if they wanted him. What do you expect them to say? Most said "We will like either QB selected" because that's what they were asked. PR, ever heard of it?

I understand there will be a "competition," it's just that Winston is already a better QB so it will not last longer than week one of TC.

    NFL stats proof?

This belongs in the cove as it is purely political at this point. In the cove I can discuss in greater detail the false rape hysteria sweeping the country which have gone down in flames (matress girl, frats being wrongly accused,), the war on boys, gamer gate, and how feminism is heavily politicized for marxist gains in terms of female reproductive strategy supported by Birffault's Law. I can discuss how the majority of the female population in the U.S. does not buy into feminism or label themselves feminists, thus Emma Watson's push to have men carry the banner with "It's on US" and "Lean in" euphemisms to sucker men into buying a flawed ideology based on social engineering.

The Red BoardFans come here to discuss the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Jameis Winston is  a Buccaneer? Wow, the thread seems fitting!!!!!

I doubt we get him after drafting Ali and smith. Unless he's promised a new contract and the starting LT position.

Throw Dotson back to RT, Collins at LT, Smith at RG and let Ali learn under Mankins and adjust to the pro's.
