My God Jack Cichy i dont think your arm is supposed to bend that way … pic.twitter.com/l3BFqMQQ6X

I’m still grimacing. And I hate how Cichy’s misfortune got glossed over because Carlton Davis got hurt (hopefully much less significantly) on the same play.+20Rating: +2. From 2 votes. Please wait...Sep. 20, 2019 at 2:26 pm #1213727
I can’t help but think the Jags will end up with buyer’s remorse over the 88 million they’re paying Foles with the way Minshew played tonight.
Disagree. If Minshew keeps this up and the Jags want to make him the guy, the Jags shouldn’t have any difficulty finding a trade partner for Foles in the offseason. Foles’ injury was a freak thing that shouldn’t have any long-term impact on his ability to play, and the contract isn’t as bad as it looks (the only dead money left after next year is $12.5 million of the signing bonus).00No votes yet. Please wait...Sep. 17, 2019 at 11:34 am #1212811
Who the Giants start at QB should be irrelevant. The Bucs are a better team regardless of whether it’s Eli or Jones at the controls, and if we lose it’ll be self-inflicted just like it was against San Francisco.+16-2Rating: +14. From 18 votes. Please wait...Jun. 5, 2019 at 10:56 am #1190588
The NFL On Location packages tend to be inflated regardless of event or destination. My father (Giants fan) and I did Hall of Fame weekend when Brooks and Michael Strahan went in and we did all of our logistics other than the event tickets separately in large part because of how much it would’ve inflated the costs. (We ended up staying about a 30-40 minute drive from Canton, but that was manageable.)00No votes yet. Please wait...Jun. 5, 2019 at 10:50 am #1190585
Author openly admits it’s a bad take. Says everything you need to know.
I actually want the kick game to be like it used to, with more kickoff runbacks. The large number of touchbacks stinks!
Ditto. I fully admit that the kickoff rule changes were necessary for the sake of player health, but they need to revise them further to not only allow for more returns but to make the onside kick viable again. Very curious to see what the XFL does next winter with kickoffs and whether the NFL can take any cues from them.+20Rating: +2. From 2 votes. Please wait...May. 23, 2019 at 4:37 pm #1188364
Barrett is $4 million, not 5. $1 mil base + $3 roster bonus per Spotrac.+60Rating: +6. From 6 votes.Please wait...May. 10, 2019 at 1:33 pm #1185452
White was no reach… pretty much every draft pundit in the country will agree on that. It’s debatable whether he or a pass-rusher would’ve been the better value versus need pick, but key word is “debatable”.
Just unfortunate we’ve now had two straight years of this car accident BS.+12-5Rating: +7. From 17 votes.Please wait...Apr. 26, 2019 at 11:21 pm #1180760
I’d be totally fine with where we’re at right now if we hadn’t passed on Risner in round 2. That’s a glaring gaffe, IMO, and right where Licht has failed time and again.00No votes yet. Please wait...Apr. 17, 2019 at 8:50 pm #1177140
Our one night game also needed to be against someone other than Carolina.
I knew they were going to find another way to screw us over after the London game compelled them into not giving us a crap bye.+2-2Rating: 0. From 4 votes. Please wait...Apr. 17, 2019 at 8:06 pm #1177118
There’s nearly 2 months in-between games at Ray Jay.
Whoever signed off on that in the NFL front office is HIGH.00No votes yet. Please wait...Apr. 16, 2019 at 4:56 pm #1176794
5-11 teams get those?
Every team is supposed to get at least one night game.+10Rating: +1. From 1 vote.Please wait...Apr. 16, 2019 at 2:42 pm #1176722
Amazing that it takes a London game for us to finally get a decent bye (in theory, I’m still waiting for the NFL to screw us there somehow).
The full Browns leak is believed to be fake, but it looks like Browns/Jets on MNF in Week 1 is happening…00No votes yet. Please wait...Mar. 26, 2019 at 2:58 pm #1172353
Every offseason it’s the same spiel with VH3. It’ll be the same spiel next year.
VH3 being drafted at 11 might be his saving grace, because that’s the point where the cost of 5th year options drop. Last year the cost was $12.3 million for a 5th-year-option CB in the top ten, but only $9 million for 11-32. Those numbers probably go up a bit this year, but it’s still a big difference in the tiers. That, combined with the expectation that he’ll be more effective in the new defense (since it emphasizes press play, which plays to VH3’s strengths) might get his option picked up, in spite of his injury issues.
Of course, if his option doesn’t get picked up, then 2019 is a put-up-or-shut-up year for VH3, and if he doesn’t perform, then the team lets him walk. Gut feeling is that they won’t pick up his option, but the deadline to decide that isn’t until after the draft, so sitch might very well depend on whether we go high on CB on draft weekend.+10Rating: +1. – convert Mike Evans’ $20M base salary into minimum salary + signing bonus (cap space: $15,356,000)… new cap value: $4,644,000 in 2019; $20,589,000 in 2020; $16,089,000 in 2021; $17,839,000 in 2022 and $18,339,000 in 2023.
Didn’t even occur to me until now how much sense this makes.00No votes yet. Please wait...Mar. 25, 2019 at 4:23 pm #1172157
If Tennessee cut him, at least that means he doesn’t impact the comp pick formula.+80Rating: +8. From 8 votes. Please wait...
