I was no McCoy hater but he always did seem a bit soft.

this makes him look like a bitch.  He talked out of both sides of his mouth and seemed a bit full of himself to put himself in the same company as the others.

The comments he made about Winston remind me somewhat of what tiki said about Eli after he left the team.  I hope it has the same affect.

Lol, op’s wording leads me to believe OP doesn’t think pretender franchise qbs where sexy enough for him.  Simms could never grow a beard like fitz.  You must be a big Mark Sanchez fan😂  I’m just giving you a hard time.

Seriously, i thought Simms was doing well pre-spleen and he would have thrived in today’s offenses.  Would have been interesting for sure.

I’ve been a Bucs fan since 1978 and I am usually pretty calm about our picks.  To be honest, I try to get behind them.  There are plenty of drafts I’m excited about that eventually suck.

This by far is the most disappointing draft we have had on face value in recent memory.  Each pick I get a worse wtf are they thinking feeling.  Bunting was a massive reach imo.

I had a glimmer of hope, I though good trade.  Then I watch us draft another CB and safety.  That is 2 2nd round safeties in last 3 years, 1 3rd round safety, and one 4th round safety.  This is a position you can pick up a replacement level player cheap annually.  For CB that is two second rounders and a 3rd in last two years, but that position probably needed some new blood.

I sure as hell hope that the coaches see something special in Cappa and leitke on OL.  Also, that we can find good depth on DL.  It makes me wonder if Nassib or jpp will be playing DL in new scheme by our lack of action.

I sure hope I’m surprised in good way with this draft!  Go Bucs!

I like them both.  I would love to target them in the second.

    My draft board would be

    1-williams, 2-Allen, 3-Oliver, 4-Bosa (injuries)5-Burns, 6-Taylor/white

If any of the top 4 are on the board I stay put unless blown away because I think they are blue chip players.

    I would love Williams

I think we will get Allen which will make me happy.

One other prediction- I think we trade JPP during the draft if we draft Josh Allen.

I’m pretty convinced the Raiders will take Oliver unless they draft a QB which I doubt.

Remember Licht drafted a second round cb last year that is actually a safety.  We now have invested 2 2nds and a 4th the past two years on a position that you can actually acquire solid players at a reasonable rate.  You could probably have tre Boston and haha for less than $7m combined, but instead waste you draft capital on that position and have to sign Beau Allen and vinnie curry’s of the world to big deals.  Where would we be at if those 3 picks were used on OL and dL?  It’s not about Perriman, it’s about the previous drafts.

You can find a thumping run stuffer in later rounds.  I don’t mind white if we trade back, but this is a dL rich draft and we have the biggest holes there.  LVD will be an inside LB in new scheme and JPP and Nassib will be OLB I believe.  In nickele and dime that other ilb might come off the field.  We have vea and Mccoy as two of the three lineman but who else?  I love the kid from Clemson Wilkins and Gary for eventual Mccoy replacement

This is what happens when you don’t continually draft OL. You get pigeon holed into overpaying an average guy or free agent to fill gaps. I would hope we take two more early this year and draft a 1-2 every year after.

im optimistic smith will improve with better coaching but it is an awful lot of money, but only two years of guaranteed.

Imagine if we used aguiyo pick, Rojo, or M.J. Stewart pick to beef up the lines.  Better than a back up safety, rb, and kicker no longer on the roster.  You can pick up average RBs,safeties and kickers for peanuts compared to average left tackles.  My biggest problem is the almost impulsive nature of Licht without regard for (value) or replacement cost.  He falls in love with players with no regard for long range planning in my opinion.

I know it wasn’t a large sample but I thought minter outplayed Kwon last year.  I think Kwon is overvaluing his play and contract.  Remember Barrett Rudd turned down a solid Bucs offer and couldn’t  even be a full time starter elsewhere if my memory serves me correct.

With Leftwich calling plays Evans might have 2ooo receiving yards.  He definitely won’t disappear for a couple quarter like he used to in Koetter offense.

Somebody posted an article critical of Bowles (Pepper Johnson interview) dissing him for poor coaching skills, poor communication with assistants, etc. Also heard a NY fan call the WDAE show this a.m. saying the Jets fans were thrilled that he was being fired. So now I have my doubts.

Initially I thought that this was the best thing —a two-for-one deal (Arians+Bowles)…..but so was Koetter and Smith. That didn’t turn out so well.

I guess time will tell. TB deserves a team that wins, finally —-being so bad for the last decade plus.

Do some research on why pepper was fired from Bowles staff.  He refused to do his nfl mandatory media obligations and had to be forced too.  When he did he had a very bizarre and negative press conference.   There is a reason nobody has given this guy a coaching opportunity for 3 years.  If anything, I like that Bowles let him go.  I’m excited about the new staff.

@nobody thanks for this, truly impressive.  It is amazing that the Bucs have people doing this for every game a player has in college and we still whiff on draft picks.
