People always say we have no money but we have plenty. We just have to risk dead money to create room. Go to over the cap and look at the cowboys or saints. And if there is a time to risk some future consequences it is while Brady is here.

Great call on your part! I had to research him a bit. I liked penn st. Receiver the broncos took, but the more I learn the more I love the Johnson pick. Very happy we got him in the 5th.

Both Golden Gophers we drafted are studs. Thanks to everyone for posting those interesting stats. The kid looks like a humble playmaker. I think we had a really good draft. Arians has been great for Licht in helping him evaluate talent. Our secondary should be fun to watch next year and the WR battle should be good to check out in camp.

Same, my only comfort is that he has Arians and his staff in his ear on the running back. If the RB is really good nobody will think it was much of a reach.

There is some exciting talent still on the board. A couple of those safeties I thought for sure would be first round picks. I feel relieved after getting Wirfs, I thought Becton would be the one to fall to us. Wirfs seems like he will be the Vea of OL. We finally went big and I hope we grt another physical OL/DL in one of the next two rounds? Any DL worth a look at 45?

This may not be popular, but if kinlaw is top player on the board, take him. Maybe get a developmental tackle later. Is Jason Peters still available? How about a 1 year deal to play RT. He is still playing at high level.

I think they are going to have to realize they aren’t getting north of 5 mil and let the market play out.

Gurley got paid at least and I think he might have a season or two left. A 1 year 3.5-4m dollar deal might be worth the risk. It isn’t gaurenteed, if he sucks cut him.

I’d rather use the pic elsewhere. However the Bucs have plenty of money. If we are truly all in for next two years Bucs can free up a ton of money via restructures. Look at saints or cowboys for how they do it. We are in good shape and can go get anyone we want we may have to use some signing bonuses to do it.

If we draft a running back, I really like Helier from LSU. However, Brady has always had a James white type. The low cost free agent that intrigues me is a super bowl hero:

    Corey Clement

I think he would be a good pick up

QB12- reason I give you the history is to understand Bucs fans. During The SBera we had tons of fans, but the ones that stick around have had a lot of hardship. Since 2001 you have loved Tom Brady, we have loved and hated:
    Jameis Winston
    Ryan Fitzpatrick
    Mike Glennon
    Luke McCown
    Josh Freeman
    Tim Rattay
    Bruce Gradkowski
    Chris Simms
    Josh Johnson
    Jake Plummer
    Byron Leftwich
    Brian Griese
    Jeff Garcia
    Brad Johnson
    Rob Johnson
    Shaun King

So you will find some lomg-term fans who may act miserable and pessimistic about Bucs transactions (they are usually right)but being a true Bucs fan has been very miserable so you can’t blame them they are true fans. Then you will encounter the eternal optimist who thinks every change is going to put us over the top because of the losing the only way they can endure is to be positive, they are true fans, then you have a bunch in between that are true fans. Honestly, I welcome new fans it has been lonely here. So enjoy your couple of years here and buy a TB12 Jersey in our new uniform.

Welcome! Ronald McD set it up well for current state. The one thing to understand our fan base is our long losing periods in the franchise:
    * our first season was 1976 and we started 0-26
    * toward the end of 70’s early we got good led by Doug Williams and Lee Roy Selmon. Doug Williams was due to be a free agent but our ex racist owner low balled him.
*this started another losing era of 14 consecutive losing seasons with some crazy things bo Jackson, the throwing Samoan, Vinny testeverde and inexplicably trading Steve young for a second round pick.
*Rich McKay had some great drafts toward late 90’s and hired a head coach that would change our culture in tony dungy. Dungy turned us into a winner led by a defense that featured Warren Sapp, Dereck Brooks, John Lynch, and Ronde Barber. The Glazers felt dungy could not get us to super bowl and made a huge trade for Jon gruden. He won a super bowl but was fired after five seasons because glazers thought they were smarter than everyone else.
*since we have not made the playoffs for over 10 years.
*we have never been able to develop a franchise QB

I really hope the next two years are what makes it worth it. All the losing, let downs and false hopes part of our adversity as fans. I really think jpp on defense and TB on offense are going to change our culture. The leadership TB will bring should not be overlooked. This is going to energize the fan base and team. Go Bucs!

I don’t think it changes much! I could see us take a WR fairly early rd 3 with TB12. But still build the OL and get a young RB. I could see us sign a veteran RB on reasonable deal. Maybe Melvin Gordon 1 year 5mil. Maybe a vet safety and some DL depth in FA.

Not a fan of trading up unless you are going for a QB. I think one tackle and one QB might fall.

I get the feeling that Licht and Arians might have fallen in love with love or Eason. Eason seems to fit the Arians mold well. Im not advocating this but I could see them taking one of the two. Winston is not getting 30m per year or anything above 20m in my IMO.if not with Bucs he will be a back up next year.
