Two-time All-Pro linebacker Luke Kuechly of the Carolina Panthers has been ruled out of Sunday’s game in Tampa Bay.

The league’s NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2013 hasn’t played since suffering a concussion during Carolina’s Week 1 win over Jacksonville.

Starting in place of Kuechly at middle linebacker has been A.J. Klein. The 6-foot-1, 240-pounder out of Iowa State is in his third year and ranks second on the team in tackles (25) behind veteran outside linebacker Thomas Davis (31).
