The Tampa Bay Buccaneers downgraded Jermaine Phillips from questionable to doubtful on Friday after the team’s starting strong safety missed his third straight practice with a knee injury.

Should Phillips be unable to play vs. the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, second-year S Will Allen will start in his place.

The Bucs will make game-time decisions on Phillips, tight end Anthony Becht (ankle), tackle Kenyatta Walker (ankle) and wide receiver/punt returner Mark Jones (foot).

Bucs backup center Scott Jackson (appendix) is questionable for Sunday’s game. Defensive tackle Anthony McFarland (hamstring) is probable. Wide receiver Michael Clayton (turf toe) has been ruled out of the Bucs’ regular season finale vs. the Saints.
