Tampa Bay rookie safety Sabby Piscitelli suffered a fractured foot during the Bucs' 24-3 win over the St. Louis Rams at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday.
The Bucs have not determined how long Piscitelli, a 2007 second-round draft pick, will be sidelined with the injury. That will be determined later in the week.
"Sabby Piscitelli has a fracture in his foot. How much time this is going to take we will have to find out later today," said Bucs head coach Jon Gruden.
In other injury news, Bucs defensive end Patrick Chukwurah, who has missed Tampa Bay's first three regular season games with a knee injury, could play vs. Carolina on Sunday.
"We think Patrick Chukwurah has a chance to return this week, he did practice last week," said Gruden. "There is a chance he will be available."
