Last year, Oregon State wide receiver Sammie Stroughter shined as one of the best selections from the Buccaneers' 2009 draft class. After playing in 13 games, the seventh-round pick returned a kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown, earning NFC special teams player of the week, and recording 31 receptions for 334 yards last year, he provided tremendous value while only costing the team a seventh-round pick. Stroughter has now positioned himself to become a starting wide receiver and set the bar high for this year’s incoming draft class.
Who could be this year’s Stroughter – or the next seventh-round steal – for Tampa Bay in the 2010 NFL Draft? This is your chance to sound off and make your prediction. In 500 words or less, Pewter Report fans can submit an essay with their choice for who the Bucs should draft in the seventh round.
Give us the player's important stats and why you think they should be in red and pewter on April 24. The most well thought-out and accurate (pertaining to legitimate seventh-round candidates) article – as voted on by Pewter Report staff – will be published live to PewterReport.com on the third day of the draft- Saturday, April 24 – before rounds 4-7 take place.
